Taiki Kuno slowly made his way around Nerima Park, seeking once again to pay homage to his grand ancestor. It had been a proud memory within the Kuno clan of their ancestor who had been able to strike down the foul sorcerer who had constantly perverted the ground of Furinkan High, seeking virgins so that his power would grow.
It should be noted at this point that those legends were extreme hearsay, had no proof other than that statue, and even the Mercury Computer had detected no “foul magics” from the area.
But in any world, at any time, a Kuno is still a Kuno.
“Soon, honored ancestor, I shall ascend to the levels you achieved, and be able to be proven worthy of the love of my pink-haired princess.”
He had been in love with the neo-princess ever since he had laid eyes on her ... which was a little creepy because she was ten and he was seventeen. But, he waited until she was of proper age for him to court, despite the obvious amount of love in her young eyes for him.
The fact he had been standing before her large birthday cake was not relevant to his beliefs.
“Honored ancestor, your beloved descendant has arrived once again to regale you ... with ...”
The current Kuno could only pale as he looked at what had remained of his ancestor’s statue. “What ... what cruel creature of darkness would dare profane such a noble visage?”
He looked around, seeking any clue or person who could have witness such an act of barbarism. But there were no people he could see, no evidence that his keen eyes could spot.
This meant ... sorcery had done this.
“By the heavens,” said the man. “This could only be the work of the foul sorcerer, back for vengeance for being denied his prizes one thousand years ago.
Hey, even a stopped clock is right, twice.
“Fear not, my princess!” loudly proclaimed Taiki Kuno, age 25. “For I shall slay the Foul Sorcerer once again, and banish him so that our love may be!”
“Please tell me that we don’t have anymore of those tours left,” said Ranma, pushing some dust off his shirt.
“Not that I know of,” said Usa. “But I haven’t spent much time contrasting what I know to be true about the past and what history has written.”
Ranma sighed. He could see it now. Ryoga’s tale of defeating a bully who stole his bread and belittled him? Stories about honestly and honor from Genma Saotome? Happosai’s words of virtue?
“This is hell,” muttered Ranma.
