“Let me in!” demanded Taiki Kuno, Age 25. He had arrived at the Royal Palace, intent on alerting the Neo-Queen, her bodyguard, and his pink-haired princess, of the return of the Foul Sorcerer that his ancestor had defeated neigh one thousand years ago.
“For the last time,” growled Sailor Jupiter, “go away!”
“But my news is most urgent!” yelled Taiki. “The foul sorcerer that my honored ancestor once defeated has returned! Already, he has struck at the cherished memorial of my ancestor within Nerima Park! Surely, news of this tragedy has already reached your ears?”
Sailor Jupiter sighed. “No matter how many times this idiot gets purified,” she grumbled, “he never gets any better.” She looked out at him again. “And what proof do you have that this is what happened?” Truthfully, she was glad that statue was gone. As far as they were concerned, it was a major eye-sore.
“My noble ancestor’s statue was laid to ruin, yet no sign of those who could have committed such an atrocious act remained for my eyes to see.”
“And what did you use to check for these signs?”
“Why my own eyes, of course.”
“Of course,” muttered Jupiter. “Listen, you may have great eyesight, but that is the reason the Law and Science group has equipment. Just because your eyesight failed to spot anything that could explain why your precious statue was broken, does not immediately lead to the conclusion that magic was used. File a report with them and leave now.
“This matter is closed,” she said, shutting the door to the balcony overlooking the entrance to the castle.
As he stood there, he sighed. “So the foul sorcerer has already made inroads into the local law. He has ensnared the beauteous Sailor Senshi to blind them to his machination among the common masses.
“Fear not, for I, the reborn Blue Thunder of Legends, shall find and smite this foul blotch upon this world, so that thou will be free and able to once again express your affections for me!”
“Is he gone?” asked Mercury.
“Finally,” said Jupiter. “I hope Neo-Queen Serenity doesn’t even entertain the notion of pairing him with the Princess.”
“In all likelihood,” said Mercury, “he’ll marry someone else, and their child will continue this legacy.”
“Who knew one little old pigeon stand would make him act so ... nuts.”
“This is a pretty nice place,” said Ranma, looking around at the outdoor café they had stopped at.
Usa nodded. “I have a few ... friends ... who work here. Even though their memories are messed up, we have to be very careful that they don’t recognize you.”
“Is that why I have to wear ... this?” he asked, looking over the garment she had handed him to wear. Even his usual pigtail was now braided into a lone ponytail, his hair styled to be a far cry from his usual hair.
She nodded in reply as they waited for a waitress to come to take their orders. “This is a careful situation, and right now, it would be best to test any chance for people to notice you. And these friends are old enough to have perhaps known you then.”
“And if they do?” he asked.
“It can either be claimed you were reborn, or just a coincidence.”
“Is that why I can only order a small platter?” he asked with a sad look.
“Yes,” she said. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but everyone knew Ranma Saotome had a pretty big appetite.”
“Excuse me,” said a female voice, “may I take your orders?”
