The pincer flew forward in the open position, a razor-edged crescent moon on rockets.
Ranma flipped around it and slapped the cable connecting the weapon to the cyborg. "Aw, c'mon. Do ALL cyborgs have this attack?"
AZZ9 retracted the cable, or tried to as it stopped halfway. "What?"
"I slapped some bubble gum on it," said Ranma with a shrug. "Ya can't retract it. So, we get serious now?"
AZZ9 whirred the motors in his claw retractor briefly. "Cursed mammal! NOW you'll pay!"
"Oh yeah? Your MAMA was a fairy princess!" said Ranma.
AZZ9 went absolutely still. Well, except for the sparks and smoke coming from his cyborg parts. "What?"
"Your mama was a fairy princess!" said Ranma, folding his arms in front of his chest.
"Who told you?" asked AZZ9 in a small voice. "NO! YOU WON'T TELL ANYONE ELSE!"
"Huh?" asked Ranma, dodging the attack. He'd simply been trying to insult the boss to get this fight started again. How was he to know this toad-cyborg-lobster guy was faerie get? "Oh well. Might as well finish this."
"Not so fast," said AZZ9, using his hands to switch out the stuck lobster claw for another lobster claw. "Now! Rocket Punch!"
FWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH! "AIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!" crash tinkle
Ranma looked at the claw hanging there in midair.
CLANG!
Ranma looked at the claw sitting on the deck. Slowly he looked up, still in a ready position, to the lobster-cyborg-toad-guy shaped hole in the back wall. "Uhm. Are you okay?"
"I can't believe this crap!" came AZZ9's voice from the back. "I'm gonna fly back to that port and blast it into the Bronze Age. No! I'll blast it into prehysteria! I'll... I'll SUE THEM!"
"Nah, we're still having our fight," reminded Ranma. "Though at this rate, I'm beginning to feel sorry for ya. Maybe you should just surrender?"
"NEVER! You'll never take me alive!" said the cyborg as he shambled back into the room. Now he had two large guns in his hands.
"Your choice," said Ranma with a shrug. Nothing this fight could teach him anyway. "Rising Dragon!"
It looked sort of like a wolf with a long horn and it stalked the corridors of the station.
"Aw, c'mon, ain't there something to eat in this place?"
"DOOOD! Don't look at me when you're saying something like that!"
The wolf smiled, showing white sharp teeth. "But Prinnies are soooooooo tasty, and I'm sooooooooo hungry."
"Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh," screamed the Prinny as it ran away.
"Don't you ever tire of that?" rumbled a Wood Golem.
"Well, they are," protested Stetson, looking up at the taller demon.
"Yeah, right," said the Wood Golem.
"Mistress, your gladiator Ranma has taken a number of his followers and left your employ to conquer Tyrantominus AZZ9 and take over his territory," said the demon. "Your orders?"
The Overlord drummed her fingers on her throne. "Send flowers."
"Mistress?" asked the demon.
"You think a card would work better?" asked the Overlord.
"Mistress, he has taken some of your more powerful, if unruly, subjects with him," said the demon.
"Do you honestly think I didn't know this would occur?" said the Overlord. "That it happened WITHOUT my instigation, much less knowledge?"
"Errr, no Mistress," said the apologetic demon.
"All occurs according to plan," said the Overlord, adjusting her slinky black dress. "By establishing that he does so with my blessings, I now have ties to another Overlord's realm. I am also far more manipulative and deceitful than Ranma could ever be. Is this not so?"
"As Milady states," agreed the demon.
"In terms of raw power, in a straight fight," conceded the Overlord, "Ranma has developed to where he could smite me down. Then again, my specialty has never been a 'straight fight'. Oh, and Ticonderos?"
"Yes, Milady?" asked the demon.
"Make sure it's a Hellmark Card," said the Overlord. "No skimming funds and getting a generic substitute."
"As Milady wishes," agreed the demon.
Ranma looked down on the wreckage of the Overlord and knew pity, betraying his human origins. This bit of pirate scum would not have hesitated to kill him were the situations reversed, but he was just so... pathetic.
