Cardmaster Ranma: Personal Interest [Episode 174394]

Even if he had been fully rested, Ranma wouldn't have been all that observant about some things. Perhaps it had to do with the way that he was raised, but he tended to focus on the things that could do him harm, rather than anything else. Or it could have been due to his own lack of instinct on how to handle certain issues safely. There were likely multiple reasons for his lack of awareness, and the true explanation probably lay with a mixture of several of them.

So, it was little wonder that he didn't realize that he was being watched. Given his natural predilection towards not paying attention to such matters, and the tired state that he'd been in lately, it was perfectly understandable as to why he didn't pick up on it. He simply tried to continue on, and not get into any more punishment details than he had already.

After all, it wasn't like having a girl interested in him was going to cause him trouble... as of yet.

The thing that he hadn't realized was that he had a particular reputation, mainly with the girls. The pigtailed boy was a mystery that a lot of girls couldn't help but get intrigued by. He lived by himself, had travelled much of his life, and was actually rather cute to boot. With his seeming cluelessness, and inability to take proper care of himself, he had brought out all sorts of daydreams, from those of him being an experienced adventurer to him needing some concerned person to care for him.

Not that the girl who was presently watching him was focusing in on him quite like that. She had her own particular reasons for wanting to keep her eyes on him, so she did so to satisfy herself. Other girls might have simply passed him by, or gotten angry with him, but she was concentrating her attention on him. That wasn't to say that her regular work was suffering, but that she wasn't putting any emphasis on it. The girl that he had saved that one time might now have problems in keeping herself from going 'starry eyed' every time that she thought of him, but, unlike that girl, she wasn't just content to be some sort of supporter or fan.

Rather, Ranma Saotome was a 'man of interest' for the girl watching him, and for whatever reason she had, it meant that he had a hold on the attention of:
