If the Link - Links, now - were entirely gone - well, she wouldn't be very happy, since that meant a 'unconnected' Gate of Light was floating around causing who knows what kind of mischeif, but she could cope with that - well, it wasn't like she would have any choice in the matter then, after all.
On the other hand, if the Links were going strong - well, it was rather unlikely that they would be strong as the original Link 'Lightwings' had had, as there was no 'leakover' of Light Gate energies she could feel at all, from 'Ranko-chan' at least, but - well, anyway, the thought of two maybe-slightly-powered-down potential 'Lightwings' did not make her especially happy either, that was for sure. Though in some ways, it could still be easier to deal with then the original situation, depending on how things turned out...
However, if the Links were of the level that really would be the best, from her point of view, that is...
Pluto looked at the scanners.
And then at the ceiling.
And then back at the scanners. A cold shiver was trailing down her spine, alongside the cold, cold elation.
The Links were at almost exactly the level she would have considered optimal from her point of view.
Oh, they were a little too low, actually, to be truly optional - she would have to adjust certain elements of her plans to compensate - but still.
Things were going much much, too well - and that was what made her spine prickle. Well alright, some plans did go right all the way sometimes, and the possibility of that increased if the plan was made right, that was why people ever bothered making plans at all, after all, but -
- Oh, well, then - better get going while the going was good, before Fate and Destiny got their act together and bothered to throw her a doozie or three.
Her plan had succeeded pretty damn well, if she said so herself - and now, the shit was about to hit the fan.
There was no way to avoid that one, either - Oh, she'd made various and sundry plans to minimize the damage, but it was like trying to control a typhoon without functional weather control systems or something - all anybody could do was do their best and pray, frankly, and -
But even so - she had done what had to be done. And if she had not -
Well, she wouldn't have to think about what would have happened then, would she now. Not any more...
And this 'typhoon' would hit hard, true, but it would settle down in about 3 weeks or so. Though the aftereffects would no doubt continue on for long after that...
Pluto turned back to the Time Gate controls. There was only a few things more to do now, and then she could rest.
For a very short while.
