Sailor Pluto pushed the button that would send Saotome Ranma back to Jusenkyou.
Right about 20 seconds after she had grabbed him in the Spring of Drowned Girl, actually - though she wasn't really going to put him back in there. Nope, nope, those kinds of complcations were not what were needed right now at all, thank you very much.
Someplace a bit to the side. Not on the side a panda was struggling to climb out of yet another Spring, either...
Well, yes, yes, there would do, she supposed...
Sailor Saturn cut off in mid-moan, shaking.
Could that - could that be -
"Lightwings-sama!" Saturn cried out, grabbing at the boy who had almost seemed to appear out of thin air, almost right on top of her.
"Lightwings-sama, Lightwings-sama..."
He was out like a light but breathing steadily, yes, yes -
But then, Saturn - stopped.
'Ranma-senpai' was here, yes. But -
But -
There was something wrong, something -
And then it hit her.
She could barely feel any of the glorious power from the Gate of Light coming off him at all.
And -
He -
He didn't look the same. He looked so - so common and ordinary! Like he was a ordinary boy or something, instead of her glorious Lightwings-sama/Ranma-senpai, and, and -
And all over the world, both near Jusenkyou and far away, girls and other beings moaned, yet again.
Something had been cut off. And then there had been a 'bump', and now -
A big, glaring gap were Glory had lived, once.
Saturn jammed her hands over her mouth, shaking.
Ranma-senpai had always made her feel better just by being there, if not as good as 'Lightwings-sama' did, but now -
Maybe - maybe he was just depowered for the moment? If she tried healing him - (But how could Lightwing-sama get 'depowered' at all?)
Or maybe - Saturn hissed, looking at the exceedingly common and disgustingly ordinary-looking boy in front of her.
Maybe this wasn't her Ranma-senpai at all...
