Sailor Jupiter strode up to her commander and saluted before presenting a message.
"Commander Mars, the queen-general has just informed us that she will come to a surprising inspection."
"Very well, Sergeant Jupiter... dismissed!"
Then she turned around to her young lieutenant. "You heard her, Lieutenant Chibimoon... prepare the troops for the surprising inspection."
Chibiusa had to ponder that. "Ummmm... but if my Mom's informing us about her inspection, it isn't a surprise anymore, right?"
"I think you misunderstood," Mars explained. "The general informed us so she wouldn't be confronted with any BAD surprises when she arrives here... understand now?"

"Listen up, you lazy bums," Sergeant Jupiter snapped. "When you've finished picking up any litter that is lying around in the camp, make sure those puddles of rain water disappear."
"And just how are we supposed to do that, Sergeant?" Private Hiroshi mocked. "Should we suck up the water with a straw?"
Jupiter grinned. "Very good, private... I believe you may become commander some day."
Shortly after, the two soldiers were standing in front of the puddles, each one holding a very long straw...
"Attention!" Jupiter called. "Prepare to suck... one... two... SLURP!"
"You just had to open your big mouth, right?" Private Daisuke growled at his friend.

"I don't understand..." tank driver Asuka said in confusion to the pink-haired lieutenant. "Why should I attach this sign to my tank? You know it's out of order because we're missing some important spare parts..."
She looked down at the sign, which read: 'Used in battle right now!'
"Exactly!" Chibimoon nodded. "Sloppiness in the army can't be allowed... Thus, this tank is officially fighting our enemies and logically isn't out of order."
The red-head scratched her red head. "I still don't get it... I just have to attach this sign to my tank and... uh... it isn't here anymore?"
"Well, officially, at least," Chibimoon nodded and turned around to leave.
Asuka looked down at the sign and grinned. Then she attached the sign to her tank, drew another sign, sat down next to the tank and put up the second sign in front of her.
Chibimoon turned around... and sweatdropped when she read the second sign in front of the tank driver.
It read: 'Me too!'

"All done, Lieutenant," Jupiter saluted. "Uniforms and fukus have been cleaned, the boots have been polished and the soldiers have all bathed in the river this morning..."
"I see..." Chibiusa said while she was inspecting every single soldier. "Still... I don't know why I'm still smelling this awful smell... an undefinable mixture of sweat, stinky feet and dirty underwear..."
She took another experimental sniff, then her gaze fell on Jupiter.
Jupiter gulped nervously. "Um..."
Shortly after, the Senshi of Lightning and Thunder was sitting in a big washtub... while her soldiers were scrubbing her back, supervised by the pink-haired lieutenant.
"The shame..." she groaned. "The shame..."
----
"So, everything ready for the inspection?" Mars asked.
"Yes, Commander!" Chibimoon nodded. The troop has assembled, the camp is clean, the vehicles as well, and the latrine has been emptied..."
"Very good," Rei nodded. "Anything else!"
Chibiusa beamed and nodded. "Yes! I took the liberty of preparing a special way of welcoming the queen-general..."
"Excellent! I'm sure the general will be pleased..." Then she saw what Chibimoon had prepared and shook her head. "Although I don't think this is quite the right thing..."
"But... but..." the princess' lip quivered. "This bouquet is made of freshly picked violets..."
