VesVes stood on top of a high building and enjoyed the cool night air. She sighed as a pleasant breeze blew across her body.
"Just the right night to search for Dream Mirrors," the red-costumed member of the Amazon Quartet grinned.
Suddenly, she caught sight of something unusual... A spinning vortex of light, appearing near the Juuban park...
"Huh? Now that's strange... I can't remember the old bat hiring an ally with those kind of powers..."
She then smirked. "Well, but perhaps it's a clue to find Pegasus... I better investigate!"

Misato shook her head and stood up, staggering to her feet.. "Oooooh... feels worse than even the worst hangover I ever had..."
Asuka rubbed her head. "Let's agree we never, ever do that again..."
"Well, we have to..." Shinji said. "We have to go back once we found the Mau hair, remember?"
"How very nice of you to remind me..." the redhead growled.
She took a look around. They were standing in the middle of a road, in the middle of a city that indeed looked like it could be Tokyo, before the events of the Second Impact... It also was a late evening, as it was dark except for the street lanterns.
"Well, I think this is Juuban," Misato nodded. "I remember this park over there from an old book of Tokyo I once read..."
"Great, now we just have to find one of those alien cats," Asuka said. "Ah, apropos cat... wonder-kitty, are you all right?"
"Yes..." came a weak groan out of the pet crate that was lying on the ground, tilted over.
Shinji flipped the crate right side up and opened the front. Rei came stumbling outside, still not used to her four legs.
"See, I told ya it was magic!" the Third Child smirked.
"It seems so..." the blue-furred cat mumbled. "Now could the earth please stop shaking?"
Misato pulled some papers out of her jacket. "Okay, what information do we have about those Mau...? According to those files, they appear almost every time the so-called 'Sailor Senshi' battle some kind of monster that is threatening Tokyo or its citizens... Which means they might be the allies of either side..."
"Yeah, or perhaps they work for a third side," Asuka guessed.
"Well, whatever their reason is for watching those battles... Fact is, we'll very likely run into one or several of those fights when we're going to search for them... and we have no weaponry. Shinji, you told us you had a plan, right?"
Shinji scratched his head sheepishly. "Well, yeah... I already produced magical weaponry for each of us... Actually, I already created them before I accidentally turned Rei into a cat..."
"Why would you create magical weapons if you didn't know we would make this journey before?" Asuka asked in confusion.
"Um... I wanted to try out a few spells... and I thought they would be cool..." He blushed. "I kinda... loved imagining what you all would look like inside those magical garments..."
Asuka glared at the cowering Third Child. "Baka-Shinji, I already said it and I say it again: You're a perv!"
Misato sighed. "Well, at least they will come in handy... although I hope they won't be TOO revealing, Shinji..."
Shinji shook his head. "Nono! Not at all! But..." He grinned. "They're really cool..."
He pulled three small objects out of his pocket. "Here, those are three artifacts I created using certain spells from the Codex Cantiones... I also summoned three elemental spirits and infused the artifacts with their power. Also, an additional spell will alter your clothes, turning them into your armor/costumes."
He handed his older guardian a necklace. "Here, Misato... inside this necklace rests the power of a wind spirit. You will gain the powers to control the winds, create small breezes and tornados. It will also give you the ability to move freely through your element... which means you'll be able to fly. In addition, you will get a special battle fan."
He took a bracelet and gave it to Asuka. "Here, this is for you... a fire elemental rests within this thing. It will turn your clothes into a battle armor, made of solidified magma. Your main weapon will be a flaming saber, and you can control all kind of flames, make the temperature around you rise, and you'll be safe from all harm that fire or heat normally would cause."
Finally he put a leather glove on his right hand. "And last but not least, this glove will give me a costume that is plated with hard wood... I chose to use a special whip as my main weapon. It gives me the ability to control the growth of plants and attack with plant-like substances, like whipping vines..."
"Vines??" Asuka yelled. "You hentai!! Why not even tentacles?"
Shinji turned red. "Th-that has nothing to do with it! I just like plants!"
"Yeeaaaah, sure..."
"Hopefully, we won't have to use those things... I could imagine that it will take us some time getting used to those abilities..." Misato said.
"Actually, no," Shinji shook his head. "The spirits will automatically provide you with their own battle skills while your costumes are activated. Also, Asuka and I have some experience from piloting the EVAs, right?"
"I guess you've originally planned to make a suit for wondergirl as well, huh?" Asuka grumbled. "What kind of powers was she supposed to have? An icy glare?"
"Okay, stop the bickering, kids..." Misato sighed. "We have to think of a way just how we're going to track down those Mau..." She then got an idea. "Rei, perhaps you can use your improved sense of smell to find them... huh?" She looked around. "Rei?"
"Damn, wondercat bailed," Asuka said and cursed. "Just what does she think she's doing?"
"Perhaps... perhaps she's just confused," Shinji assumed. "Before this day, she didn't even believe in such a thing as magic... And now she's stuck in the body of a cat and travelled through time."
"We have to find her," Misato shouted. "She can't defend herself like this. Who knows what those Lemures or the Senshi will do to her if she runs into them... Come on, let's go!"
