Switching Places/Eva!-Switcheroo!: Oooops? [Episode 179925]

by Linnara

Ranma sighed. So there was no getting back for the time being, but...

"Hey, Nabiki? Even if Mihoshi-san's Wish can't switch us back again right now, there are other things I could wish for, right?"

Though about what he should wish for...

Nabiki coughed, again, and sighed, waving her hand. "Well, about that - well, things are a bit...difficult now, I'm afraid - the 'Wish-web' and the general situation is making things very, very iffy now. As I said before, a genie Mihoshi's level wouldn't normally be even coming near you in your current situation - it's just that dangerous. There's only a very limited number of things we can do that wouldn't end in smushed genie or the end of the world as we know it, or both, or even worse, and - well, I think I have a fairly good grasp on what your Wish should be now, but..."

Nabiki sighed again, looking at Ranma.

"Do you trust me, Ranma? I did just mess things up, not taking in seriously, you know..."

"Well, um, sure!" Ranma told her. "I mean, it really did sound weird, now that I think about it, and..."

Well, he still wasn't a 100 percent sure that this entire matter with Mihoshi-the-genie really wasn't a very odd dream, now that he thought about it, which was a rather dangerous thing, now that he thought about that. He couldn't go around acting like this whole thing was a dream and he might wake up any moment, not when they were so many things at stake...not if this really was all for real, that is.

"Well, good." Nabiki smiled at him, looking relieved. "Well, OK, then - now, this is the gist of the Wish I'm formulating for you now, but - "

Ranma blinked at the notebook that Nabiki had produced out of nowhere, and slapped down on a table that also appeared from what appeared to be thin air. Oh, right - since this was all a shared dream and all...

"Now I'm starting to refine it and stuff. Now, I want to know just what you'd been doing since you've been flipped over, from your point of view. Just tell me everything you can remember, all right?"

Two chairs materialized on both sides of the table. Ranma sighed, then. This was going to be embarrassing, he could tell already...

"...You mouthed off at Gendo. Gaah. And you showed Misato-san the Evangelion DVD? Ewewew - didn't you think Gendo would have everything bugged? Or he will now, if he hasn't already... Well, alright, alright, it's you I know..."

Ranma sweatdropped, staring at the notebook in front of them. It was growing thicker as he watched, and was now about the size of a middle-sized dictionary...

" Hey, if she pretty?"

"And then I - huh?" Ranma stopped, wondering just how thick the book - it wasn't a notebook any more by any means - was going to grow. And he was supposed to read all that aloud?

"Katsuragi Misato. Is she pretty?"

"Oh! Um, sure. She's just like a real-life version of the anime Misato-san..." Ranma blinked, then, realizing what he was saying, and chuckled. That Misato-san was a real-life version of the anime Misato, or something like that, right?

"Well OK, OK, I think I've gotten most of it, now - but now we should try discussing stuff with Shinji-kun, I think..."

Nabiki grabbed the book, which was the size of a very big dictionary by now, and started walking towards the fog.

"Remember, Ranma, no wishing anything by mistake! You'd better not say anything at all, if you have any doubts..."

"OK, OK." Ranma grumbled, walking into the fog besides Nabiki.

Shinji was sitting crosslegged on a zabuton, playing tetris on a big television screen. A large cello floated by, seemingly playing by itself.

"Oh, Nabiki-san! how'd things go?"

"OK for now." Nabiki grumbled. "That genie hasn't been causing any problems, has she? I told her that..."

Shinji sighed, and the TV and gameplayer disappeared with a pop.

"Nope, she just said right off the bat that she couldn't send me back right now and said it was too dangerous to grant me any Wishes right now, either - and suggested I go play some games or something. She's ...over there now, I think."

Shinji pointed to a pillor of fog over in the corner.

"She seemed to like my cello-playing, though..."

Ranma blinked. Well, OK...?...

"Well OK, I've pretty gotten the gist of it, I think, but before I really set things out, I want to fine-tune stuff some more, so - " Nabiki smiled at Shinji.

"Shinji-kun? There's just a couple of things I want to ask you, actually..."

"What kind of things?" Shinji came over.

"Well, it's just that - "

Ranma stared as Nabiki slapped down two big dictonary-sized tomes down on yet another table which had appeared from thin air. How in the world was he supposed to read all that aloud, anyhow? It would take days!

Well, unless he Wished something like -
