So far so good. He'd tried to go to sleep with the key-chain thing tied to his hand, and it had worked, it seemed...
Nobody but himself was here, however. Well, not yet, anyway.
Hmmm, then... maybe it would be time to experiment and see if his guess about some things were actually correct. If the tiny DVD-Player-shaped keychain thing was supposed to be 'Replayable in Dreams', and this was actually some kind of dream...
So what was he supposed to do now - just wish the thing to become normal DVD-Player size, or something like that?
A few seconds later, Ranma was a bit shocked to see that that had actually worked. Well, now that he thought about it, this had been part of the Nabiki-engineered Wish too, he supposed...
Hmmm, OK. So now to see if it was actually playable.
Several minutes later, Ranma blinked as he realized somebody behind him was coughing, and had been for a couple of times.
"Ahem. Saotome - Um, Ranma..."
A terribly quiet voice, in fact...
Ikari Shinji - oops, no, that was Saotome Shinji for the duration, and he'd better remember that, Ranma reminded himself - wasn't looking too bad, all things considered.
"So that's the - original Evangelion series, is it?"
"Um, sure. - Uh...Oh, right." Ranma blinked. "The Eva series you have back home now has me as the main character, doesn't it..."
"Well, yes." Shinji sighed, then. "And - well, did you managed to go read the 'Shinji 1/2' you were talking about last night?"
"I - " Ranma wriggled. "I did, but I fell asleep after the first ten volumes..."
"Oh, that's alright." Shinji said, oddly quietly. "Then you know about - this - already. Right?"
Ranma stared as Shinji apparently materialized a basin filled with water out of nowhere, and gave him an exceedingly Gendo-like snarling sneer.
And the water came cascading down...
