“Hey! Yakko!” Wakko spoke up as he poked his elder sibling in the arm. “We’ve gone over into the next episode.”
Blinking his eyes, the older Warner Brother asked, “Already.”
“Seems that way...” Dot agreed as she looked upwards at the episode credits. “The title and episode number has changed to 181919.”
“Well, what’s the title say?” Yakko asked.
“It says, ‘The Obligatory Musical Number’,” Dot read aloud. She turned to her twol male siblings and asked, “What do you think?”
Bringing a hand to underneath his chin, Yakko had to take a moment to think about it. “Well... I don’t know. These things don’t always carry over well to reading format.”
Turning to her mother, Ami asked, “What are they talking about?”
“I have no idea...” Doctor Kumori told her only child as the weird animal-like children talked amongst themselves.
It was then that Wile E. Coyote interjected. [You might as well.] He flipped his sign over. [You’ve broken the Fourth Wall enough already.]
“Ehhh...” Yakko wasn’t so certain. “I’m still not sure...”
The brown-furred Coyote flipped his sign once more. [It did say ‘obligatory’.]
“Oh... Yakko considered it and said, “What the hey? Upward and onward to glory!”
“YAY!” Yakko’s two younger sibling’s cheered. All three Warners started to bend and straighten their knees in rhythm to the sound of music that seemed to come from nowhere yet everywhere at the same time. As the Warner Brothers, (and the Warner Sister) moved to the beat, Wile E. took the moment to set up a large backdrop screen behind them. The visage of it was the darkness of space and numerous stars.
Looking towards her mother, Ami asked, “should we be worried?”
“Maybe...” the good doctor admitted. As confusing as they were, they had been pretty harmless so far. She hoped their inclement didn’t change...
And then it started...
“Don’t worry Miss Mizuno,
You’re the Senshi of Mercury!”
Ami blinked her eyes as Yakko pointed right to her.
“It shouldn’t be surprising,
You’re a special child, see?”
“Of the closest planet to the sun,
We look at you dear Ami!”
Ami blinked her eyes as she suddenly found herself in the cheerleading outfit her mother had been in just mere moments before. She patted herself down, feeling the material. It was fascinating.
Staring at her daughter for a moment, Kumori then looked down at herself. She let out a breath of relief to see she was back in the clothes she entered her apartment wearing.
“Next the clouded planet Venus,
It’s as covered as can be!”
The image on the screen showed that of the planet Venus, yet overlapping was the image of a blonde-haired woman as she sat on the bench in what looked like an airport.
“The Earth is next, we call it home,
Let’s hope it stays that way!”
The image changed to that of a tall man wearing sunglasses as he walked down the street. The Warner Brothers and their youngest sister moving back and forth in dance step with the music.
“And then there’s Mars, confused in the head,
What more is there can I say?”
The image on the screen showed a Shinto Shrine Maiden sitting down on the steps to the holy ground. She was looking over something that looked like a water gun... until it fired a blast of energy, decimating a nearby cherry blossom-tree.
“The gassy planet Jupiter,
As big as planets come!”
The screen showed the image of a tall brunette running as what looked like a woodpecker flew behind he, flapping his arms furiously.
“Then there’s Saturn with its mighty glaive,
Smashes things to tiny crumbs!”
The image on the screen changed, the whole room becoming darker as the view portrayed little light. A small girl sitting on her bed all alone and looking a little sad.
“We travel on to Neptune,
That’s a gassy-freezy ball”
Despite Neptune being described as a ‘gassy-freezy ball’, the woman showed was anything but. Smooth-skinned, elegant, her clothes speaking of refinery... she was definitely quite the sight to behold.
“And cold and nasty Pluto,
She’s the dumbest one of all!”
Ami and Kumori both had to blink their eyes at the image. A green-tressed dark-skinned woman screaming at the top of her lungs as what looked like a cook speaking bad Swedish tried to push her into a large cooking pot.
Finally, the screen went blank and the music stopped. Yakko looked at the mother and daughter duo and said, “Well, there you go! Those are the Senshi of our solar system!”
“Hey!” Wakko said as he poked his older brother’s shoulder. “We never said anything about Moon! And you completely forgot Uranus!”
Blinking his eyes for a moment, Yakko turned to the two women. Blowing a kiss to the doctor and daughter, Yakko gave a polite, “Mmmuah! Goodnight everybody!”
Ami blinked her eyes for a moment at all that was going on around here. “Uh... excuse me?”
“Hmm?” Yakko asked, turning to look directly towards the young woman. “What is it, Sailor Mercury?”
“I have a small question,” she said honestly. “How do I change back?”
Blinking his eyes a few times, Yakko turned to look at the coyote. “Good question... Wile E?”
Having just finished taking down the backdrop, the brown-furred canine turned to the group. [What?] At the looks he received from all around, he flipped his sign. [I wasn’t listening.]
“That’s kinda hard to believe... I mean, lookit those huge ears he’s got...” Dot said.
“Ami here asked how to change back to her civilian form,” Wakko spoke up, relaying the question of the young bluenette woman. “Although I don’t know why she wants to change. I think the outfit is faboo!”
Raising his free hand to his chin, the coyote seemed to ponder the request for a moment. [That is a good question...]
Ami’s eyes went wide at THAT answer. “You mean you don’t know!?”
[It should be instinctual.] Wile E. responded just before flipping his sign over. [Don’t you feel anything?]
Shaking her head quickly, Ami responded, “NO!”
Considering that response for a moment, Wile E. nodded his head. [Well...]
“Well?” Ami asked.
The bipedal coyote flipped his sign. [I’m stumped.]
“ARGH!!!”
