He just wished that he knew how to get to all that stuff. A sigh passed his lips when she wasn't looking, and he felt disappointment at his own inability to figure out how to get to that sort of thing. From what he could tell, he was supposed to go in that direction, but no one had ever sat down and told him exactly what that would entail. After all, his talks with his father were about the Art, and most of what the other guys in junior high had said had been accompanied by winks and nods. As it was, he was pretty sure that he was going to only get more confusion as things went on.
What he did get was a familiar voice asking, "Mind if we sit here?"
Looking up, he blinked and gave a small shrug. "I don't really mind. What 'bout ya, Akane?"
"Both of you are welcome, of course," his wife agreed, and sent a sour look towards the watchers. "It's not like things are going to get nice and peaceful all that soon."
"Good. Then I don't feel that bad bothering the two of you. Not that we want to bother you, you understand," Sayuri commented, smoothing out her skirt so that she could sit without any unintentional 'shows'.

"Certainly. You're really good for her. I mean, I can certainly understand the appeal of having a buff guy like you be dedicated to her."
"Really?"
"Of course. It makes me wish that I had my own guy here with me...."
"Don't tell me that you're interested in someone like Ranma," Akane murmured in concern.
"Yeah, right. He's not my type. I'd love to be with a guy who has class and style, with just the right balance of sophistication and caring."
"Not Ranma then," Sayuri put in as she picked up a fried shrimp from her bento.
"That'd be someone else," Akane agreed.
"Oh man," Ranma grumped. "Ya guys like havin' fun at my expense, don'tcha?"
"Nothing mean's meant by it."
"Exactly," the girl with pony tail confirmed. "Besides, it's good to have you here."
"We didn't notice how much fun it is to have you around until you weren't here," Yuka told him, giving a small nod as she did so.
"Not to mention that you are the only guy that we can actually talk to. Imagine trying to deal with the idiots at the front gate this morning."
"I don't haveta imagine. I helped handle them...."
"True."
