"I'm Chiyo Mihama," said the little girl, "nice to meet you all."
"So just because she's some Zoobrain and a runt, don't make fun of her," continued Miss Yukari.
"You're an Ani-path?" asked Yomi, not noticing how Sakaki seemed to perk up.
"Yes, though I prefer the term 'Handler' or 'Dog Whisperer'," said Chiyo, looking embarassed.
"Where's your dog?" asked Kaorin.
"He's waiting outside the school," said Chiyo-chan. "He's a Great Pyrenees so he has to spend a lot of time in an area where his shedding won't be a problem."
As the school was located in a domed area and actually had a yard, several of the students immediately started peering out the windows.
"Okay class, let's get on with the English," said Miss Yukari. "Chiyo-chan can show you after school."
Sakaki was very reluctant to turn back to the lesson.
Kaname looked at the very young and exotic looking girl in bed with her, and she seriously considered screaming. Just on general principles. She decided against it, mainly because it was likely to cause her headache to increase to disgusting levels.
"mrpgle," said the pale girl, trying to curl up away from the light.
Pale skin, pale hair, NOT Japanese. Not that she had anything against non-Japanese people - she worked with plenty of them on-station - but the sections WERE segregated by both nationality and work detail. This girl in the tank top and panties might be a little younger than she herself was, and didn't look like she was particularly suited to hauling crates and supplies around.
Another detail came to Kaname's attention slowly, mainly because the pain level and fogginess this morning were not conducive to any sort of activity.
