Makoto went along effortlessly carrying a much larger backpack than Akane herself, and when you considered that she'd brought Akane's pack to her - just brought home the tall girl's strength all the more.
Usagi and Rei hadn't been carrying packs a minute ago, but somehow or other their backpacks just happened to be lying ahead of them.
Akane frowned at the sight, then to Makoto who had apparently found them by scent. "Ranma?"
Makoto winced but nodded.
Akane sighed. Well, at least he was trying to stay out of her way. This was HER training trip after all. A glance upwards revealed Hotaru still going from one thermal to another. "Might as well carry a sign saying where we are."
Makoto waved to Hotaru. "I can carry her when she tires."
Akane winced, knowing Makoto was perfectly serious about that.
"Hotaru's landing," said Michiru. "That will make finding her all the more difficult."
"How difficult can it be?" asked Haruka. "We know the direction and we have other talents as well."
