Maybe he'd have to check into it after all. If someone was after Konoka, that meant good fights and practice using this stuff.
Nodoka looked out at the scenery passing by the train and remembered. Her true son and husband had died years ago. She'd had to identify the bodies, and for years thereafter had been alone.
There was a terrible crushing loneliness to be the only survivor of your family. Yet she had to go onward, didn't she?
Then had come these other two, who were almost the little boy and husband who had departed on that training trip. Little details were off, such as this Genma not having any tattoos or scars.
She'd gotten them inspected by contacts she had made after her family's death, and their stories might have been fantastic but were apparently correct. Naturally, she'd taken to the son-she-might-have-had.
That wasn't what brought a faint smile to her face though. It was a memory from many years ago.
Ranma stared as the stunning blow he'd laid upon the girl-warrior's crown had not only stunned her, but had WINGS pop up. "Whoa. Neat.""Huh? WHAT?" asked the girl, startled and apparently shocked that her wings were showing.
"They're pretty," said Ranma, stroking the wing and apparently thinking that girls liked being called pretty. "Hey, soft." He'd also apparently expected them to be coarse feathers.
Nodoka watched on in amusement as a tide of red started under the girl's sleeveless gi and ended somewhere above her hairline.
"AGHHHHHHHHHHH!" said the winged girl, swinging her sword wildly now - made especially so as she'd closed her eyes. "I am not soft! You take that back!"
She watched as Ranma had nearly run over Konoka, then picked up the other girl to avoid having one girl slice another girl into sashimi as Setsuna had STILL been wildly swinging her sword and chasing after Ranma.
"Now that you've seen 'em, I have to leave!" yelled Setsuna.
"I see nothing, I hear nothing, I know nothing!" quoted Ranma from something he'd heard somewhere.
"WAHHHHHHH!" cried Setsuna, the seven year old girl apparently very upset.
The faint smile continued as Nodoka Saotome remembered how she'd found them later. Apparently they'd gotten exhausted, fallen asleep, or something. They were all together with Setsuna's wings enveloping them. She had six photos of it, having had time to get her camera.
Now with the arrangements of the room, she could visit on school holidays. Of course, she'd made all sorts of arrangements, and after being alone and the last of her family she wanted to see grandkids as soon as it would be legal. Ah, how nice it would be.
