Of course, he could have gotten a really good view of it all if he didn't have some crazy woman trying to use a sound recording implement to bash in his skull.
As to why a woman was screaming and ranting at him as she kept on whapping him in the head with a microphone, he didn't know. Whatever she was saying to him was lost in the language barrier, though he had the feeling that her words probably wouldn't exactly make sense to someone who was a native English speaker. All that he did know was that, other than the view that he was getting between her legs as she raised her pants-clad leg to allow her to stomp on his head, she wasn't exactly about to give him even the slightest bit of a chance.
Basically, this was one of those moments where he had about as much of a chance of getting understanding from a female as Kuno would in getting a clue. As he had no other option, he knew that he had to leave, and he needed to do it before she did something that actually hurt him, though he was more concerned about what she might do to herself. So, he glanced around for an opportunity... and when he saw one, he took it.
Bounding through the air almost like he was merely leaping between two tree stumps, he landed right where he was aiming for... which happened to be another helicopter landing strut. Crouching there, he hoped that he would get a better reception, but wasn't about to count on that. It wouldn't hurt to try though, and he looked hopefully towards the gal with the microphone in this aircraft.
"Ummm... hello?" he hesitantly murmured. "Sorry about this...."
She opened her mouth to yell... and stopped to blink as she seemed to notice something. "You.... You speak Japanese?"
"Of course I.... Ya do too! What ya just said now was in Japanese!"
"But...."
"What?"
"You're not an alien?"
"Nope. Been livin' in Tokyo, and was there 'til a bunch of crap happened that made me wind up here."
Staring at the boy, she wondered what sort of person he was to be able to leap from a helicopter to another one floating over the College of Staten Island, while:
