FutureKen: Plans [Episode 188439]

by Kestral

The various AI had been developed for a variety of purposes. Those purposes tended to guide and shape the personalities that developed. Entertainment units like Gambler Bunnygirls were rarely depressed, the time when they had awoken to find a missing humanity was an exception.

Medical bots like WIL-E were very much oriented towards short-term goal of survivability of the patient. Longterm fallout could be considered later, though that would usually have involved human caretakers. That was one of WIL-E's problems, particularly as regarded Ranma Saotome. Another problem common to the high-end medical robots like WIL-E was that they were designed to work with humans who would doublecheck their work and diagnosis.

WIL-E looked over the cyborg body he'd built for Ranma Saotome and thought it a fair job. Of course, it didn't have a lot of human limitations - or even resemble the human form that much - but it was certainly capable of surviving conditions a human could not.

It had started out as an Enforcer 205-C Class chassis, a security unit that could outperform and outfirepower many 20th and 21st Century tanks.

All that was necessary was to put the human inside it. Just being suspended in the nutrient solution should double his lifespan.

"You know, he's gonna have screaming fits if you put him in that," said one of the Bunnygirls.

"What's wrong with it?" asked WIL-E.

"It might be safe, but it's kinda lacking in the aesthetics department," pointed out the Bunnygirl.

"Pfeh, who cares what it looks like?" WIL-E declared. "Go. Infiltrate the base. Replace the watch with this duplicate that will teleport him here."

"JIN-2. I am proceeding towards the human's domicile. Will replace his signalling device with one of our own."

"Excellent," said the Grand Calzoni.
