The past three years had been joyous times for the Helsing estate. Not only was an heir born to Integra but the vampire activities had actually decreased by 20% over historical trends. Thus everyone from Integra herself to the newest grunt had a smile on their faces.
Everyone, that is; except Alucard. He knew that something was different about Ranma Henry Arthur Helsing; something that he couldn't quite grasp. First off, Integra although she didn't realize it; was still a virgin. True, there was a guy she meet at a bar; but nothing happened there as he had scared the guy off before he could take advantage of Alucard's drunk mistress. So this left Alcuard with a conundrum that he had to solve. HOW in heaven did Ranma get born?
Then there was the boy's intelligence and mind. Alucard couldn't penetrate into the boy's mind at all, which should be impossible. The only reason Alucard could think of for such a shield that he couldn't penetrate would be divine interference. What was so important about the young master that divine protection was needed?
A vampire that he had once meet in China, oh about 300 years ago spoke of acts of the gods. One of them the old bat had rattled off to him was about something called reincarnation. How God would send a soul to be reborn if the person was needed or if the person had been betrayed by a loved one who tried to destroy their soul. The old bat had claimed that god would protect their minds so that others wouldn't treat them differently as they grew up again.
Could Ranma be a reincarnation Alucard wondered seriously. The boy's intelligence and the fact that he couldn't read his mind seemed to support this hypothesis. Whither the young master was reborn or not did not matter in Alucard's mind. Seras and Integra both would be accepting of the boy if this were true so there was no reason to confront the boy.
Alucard pulled out a brown folder from his red coat and held it up to the light. weeks ago he had sent a sample of Ranma's blood to a 'friend' in Shanghai who was in expert in 'unusual' blood types. Ranma possessed a blood type that neither he or the doctors of the institution could recognize. Opening the folder Alucard quickly read over the file and almost dropped it from the laughter he felt coming on. Oh he couldn't wait to hear what those idiots at Iscariot would say when they found this out. Hell, even Integra's reaction would be priceless, Alucard thought; when she finds out that her precious little boy had the blood of a --- coursing through his veins.
