Setsuna's Ninja Village: Village Hidden In The City, part II [Episode 192904]

"It's an agreement of family honor," said Sarutobi Tendo. "So which is it going to be? This is Sakura, she's fourteen."

"Don't even go there," said the pink-haired girl with the wide forehead.

"Hotaru," continued Sarutobi. "She's thirteen."

The dark haired girl just seemed to shrink in on herself and blush.

"Setsuna," continued Sarutobi. "She's nineteen."

"Younger men are so... young," said the tanned woman with long hair, sounding as if she were trying to find a polite way of saying something entirely different.

"Michiru, who's eighteen," continued Sarutobi.

"This would be inelegant," said Michiru. "I also expect Haruka would have something to say of this."

"Then there's Makoto, she's seventeen," said Sarutobi.

"But..." began Makoto, looking more uncertain than anything else.

"Pick any one you like, she'll be your new fiancee," said Sarutobi.

There was dead silence at the table. Ranma hadn't moved since asking that question, frowning at the tabletop and looking pensive.

"I said, 'pick one'," tried Sarutobi.

"Are you just going to sit there with some stupid-" began Sakura, reaching out to slap the boy back awake.

POOF!

Those assembled blinked at the sight of a log wearing a Chinese shirt sitting at the table. Sakura stared at the hand that had made contact, then back to the log, then back at her hand. "Wha?"

"Now THAT was a smooth Substitution Jutsu," commented a slightly less displeased Michiru. After all, the Ninja Arts WERE Arts - and the various Jutsu should be performed smoothly and efficiently.

"No wonder you waited on telling your son, Saotome," said Sarutobi. "Branch doesn't fall far from the tree, eh?"

"Growfle growf" SPLASH! "This may take awhile, Tendo," confessed Gendo. He lowered his cup to the table and frowned thoughtfully. "What kind of skills do your daughters have?"

"Sakura has just recently passed the gennin exam and today is the day she'll be in her first team," said Sarutobi. "Setsuna and Michiru are both chunin kunoichi. Setsuna's specialty technique is in perfect timing. Michiru's specialty is genjutsu where she uses music to cast illusions. Makoto utilizes lightning-fist techniques."

"Hmmmm," said Genma. "Well, we'll have to find the boy first. Then drag him back and we should engage him to..."

"What about your son?" asked Setsuna, her voice cold and her glare colder.

Genma ignored the glare. He'd gotten worse after all. "The boy is a taijutsu specialist, though he's a fair hand with ninjutsu and genjutsu."

"What style of taijutsu?" asked Sakura.

"Traditional ninjitsu, Nguni stick fighting, Bando, Baguazhang, Fujian White Crane, Houquan, Mian Quan, Escrima, Pehlwani, Mizongyi, Tai Chi Chuan," began Genma.

"All that?" asked Sakura.

"-Pao Chui," continued Genma, "Northern Praying Mantis, Shaolin Northern Gate, Wing Chun, Jeet Kun Do-"

"How about just the ones he's mastered?" asked Setsuna, one eyebrow raised.

"Well," said Genma, thinking about it. "The ones he's best at are Mizongyi, Battojutsu, Tai Chi Chuan..."

"What style of battojutsu?" asked Sakura, not knowing much about sword-styles except she didn't care for ONE sword-stylist at all.

"Oh, he studied with a Tenshin Shouden Katori Shinto-ryu stylist," said Genma with an off-hand gesture. Temple up in Nara. "Also the Shinmei Ryu. Jujutsu, Hakko Ryu - why the boy bothers with it is beyond me, JKD, Shorinji Kempo, and Hwarang Do."

"Well rounded education," noted Sarutobi.

"His main skills in genjutsu are a resistance to such things, an internal disruption technique he picked up somewhere," griped Genma. "There is also his ninjutsu specialty to consider."

"That's true," said Sarutobi, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "It might make catching him difficult."

"Why?" asked Sakura. "What sort of specialty?"

"Oh," said Genma, "it's that he-"
