"So do you remember what type of mobile suits those guys were piloting?"
Rosa adjusted her glasses as she searched her memory. "I was only able to see just Daughseats when I first hired them but they probably have a surprise or two up their sleeves. Be on the alert."
The GX pilot chuckled briefly. "Aye, captain." Rosa felt herself jerk as the GX swerved to avoid a few more missiles. He fired a few beam shots towards where the Daughseats had surfaced but they simply dived underwater again to protect themselves. "We need to flush them out... you got any depth charges we can use?"
"I believe so. I also ordered my Jenice units to help pick off mobile suits who come to the surface." Her eyes caught the sight of a red object surfacing and pointing something at the GX. "Look out!"
"The fuck?!" The GX quickly backed away but the red object fired its harpoon to neatly wrap itself around the right leg of the black mobile suit. Then it rose to the surface and revealed itself to be a red aquatic mobile suit that none had seen before. It had two beam cannons for hands and two torpedo launchers on each shoulder. What startled Rosa was the resemblance this unit had to the Gundam Leopard, the UNE's old artillery unit from the 7th Space War.
The red mobile suit unleashed a missile barrage and started firing its beam cannons at the GX. Rosa tapped a command on her console to open up the two missile launchers. "All weapons free! Let her rip!!"
Her companion wasted no time and fired all of the G-Falcon's missiles while using its beam guns and vulcan guns to neutralize as many enemy missiles as it could. At the same time, the GX unit bent down to yank on the cord attached to its leg to force the red unit out of the water. It was timed well enough so that the resulting explosion from the collision of missiles and beam weapons would do some damage to the red enemy unit. He then pulled on the rope long enough so that both units could see eye-to-eye (or in this case, optic-to-optic).
Inside the cockpit of the GX, the pilot gave a small sigh of relief as his risky plan yielded the desired result. "This is the GX calling the pilot of the red mobile suit. I have two beam cannons pointed directly at your cockpit. Surrender now and you will not be harmed. And if I see those two hand appendages so much as twitch, I will open fire."
A tense moment of silence followed until the cockpit hatch started opening up. "Smart choic-" Before he could finish his sentence, he felt himself being violently shaken as the rope started to retract back into the red mobile suit. Within a fraction of a second, the GX pilot had the general idea of what the enemy had up his sleeve. "Rosa, separate the G-Falcon!!" He also tapped a command to draw out a beam saber to slash the rope attached to the GX's leg and get the hand armaments of the enemy mobile suit at the same time.
As the fighter craft quickly got off the GX, this freed up the chest vulcan guns. The pilot then opened fire at the cockpit area. Within a moment, the red mobile suit stopped moving after the rope fully retracted and went into a freefall towards the water. Just before it landed, the G-Falcon picked it up with a pair of clamps. "Retrieval complete." She then started flying towards her ship with the new mobile suit firmly in her grasp.
The pilot nearly collapsed in his cockpit seat. "Shit... I didn't want to kill him."
"I... think it was something that couldn't be avoided. Not if we wanted to continue living anyway." Even Rosa had difficulty buying the words that she just said. Before she could say anything further, an explosion rocked both of the ships. "Those guys are still around?!"
"I'm on it... I can blow some steam off anyway." Without a second thought, the GX dived into the water to attack the remaining enemy mobile suits which consisted of one Daughseat III and three normal Daughseats. There were two units directly underneath each ship and they were clawing the vessels with their extension arms as they seemed to have used up their missiles and torpedoes. As soon as they saw the GX, they extended their arms but he weaved in and out of the arms as if his unit was a fish. He then got close to the Daughseat III unit and stuck the beam saber handle directly against the cockpit before turning it on. 'Any normal person would probably be disgusted by killing and fighting like this but it comes to me so naturally. Why?! Just what the hell am I?!'
At the sight of seeing their comrade killed off like that, the remaining Daughseats fled the scene. The GX pilot opened a channel to both ships. "Are you guys damaged?"
A male voice answered first. "This is the Rosa Rosa. We have some minor damage to one of our engines but that is all."
The second voice to come through was an older woman's voice. "Captain Weib of the Mirage. We're not as well off and we'll probably need more time to repair ourselves."
He took the time to move the GX above the water again and dragged the Daughseat III with him. "At least you guys have time to make repairs, right?"
"Actually... we're not as lucky as we thought. We got company approaching coming from our starboard side," replied Captain Weib. Puzzled, the GX pilot magnified his view to see a small group of ships on an intercept course.
"This is bad. We've got to get out of here," said Rosa through the communications channel.
"Just what are those guys anyway?"
"... Orcs."
