The GX pilot frowned slightly. "Orcs?"
"They're basically people who raid for a living and prey on anyone trying to make an honest living on the ocean," replied Rosa from her G-Falcon cockpit.
"Swell. And neither ship is in decent shape to outrun them?"
"Negative. Their ETA is approximately ten minutes and we can't get up and running in that time. And we already exhausted quite a bit of firepower taking out the merc group earlier. We're not in a good position to fight them off."
He leaned back in his seat to absorb Rosa's news. 'Man, this stinks. If there's a Goddess of Victory, may I ask her for a little help please?' Then his eye caught view of the full moon glowing up above in the night sky. 'Wait a second...' "Rosa, do you know how familiar people are with the power of the GX-9900?"
"As far as I know, anyone who's heavily involved into mobile suits as a pilot or mechanic would probably know of the GX's capabilities. It did play a crucial role in the 7th and 8th Space Wars."
"That would include the Orcs?"
"Of course! What are you getting-" She paused when she saw the black GX's back fins unfurl to form an X shape on the back and the devastating Satellite Cannon shift into the mecha's hands. "Y-you're not planning to... !"
"If these Orcs are as well informed as you say they are, then they should back off at the sight of a GX preparing the Satellite Cannon." The pilot let out a soft exhale and hoped that the Orcs would retreat.
**********
"Captain! That GX took out something!!" The crewman magnified the view where the bridge crew could see the Satellite Cannon at the mobile suit's side.
"A Satellite Cannon! Shouldn't we back off or something?!" shouted another crewman.
The fat man sitting in the commanding seat of the bridge appeared to be deep in thought before speaking. "No. Maintain course and speed. Send a message to the rest of our group and tell them that the pilot is bluffing."
"Sir?"
He wore a confident smirk on his face. "I spoke with an old friend who worked on the reconstruction of the lunar station a while ago. With the installation of strong security features to prevent unauthorized usages of the relay station, there's no way he's firing that cannon. To be honest, his bluff would have probably worked if I hadn't been so well informed about the new station."
**********
'Shit... they're still coming?!' As his brain started trying to come up with a backup plan, he was able to sense the confidence of one of the Orc captains and how he was absolutely certain that he would not be able to fire the cannon.
"That plan didn't work... what do we do now?!"
He didn't answer her as his mental senses were being overwhelmed by what lay in the hearts of all of the Orcs. It was as if they represented every dark aspect of humanity. He saw flashes of past deeds that the Orcs had done...
Stealing without a second thought...
Massive raping of any attractive females on the ships that were attacked before they were killed in a brutal fashion with their fellow crew...
Using some captured crew men and women as slaves on Orc vessels and breaking their spirits...
His grip on the G-Controller tightened as his emotions started running high. These men... no, they didn't even deserve to be called men... and if they ever got to the Mirage and Rosa Rosa... 'THOSE... BASTARDS!!!'
He then saw something explode in front of his eyes and a sense of calmness came over him. His right hand hovered over the G-Controller and flicked on a switch. "If that is your choice, so be it..."
A split second later, the Orcs were treated to a frightening sight as a microwave beam was fired from the full moon and hit the black GX unit. The metallic parts on its back glowed with energy while the unit's optics changed colour from its default green to a menacing red.
"Burn this image into your mind......"
"...... AND DIE!!!!!"
