Friends And Family: Forceful Interference [Episode 194543]

by Kender

It had been building over ten years. When she'd been six years old, Ukyo Kuonji been abandoned like an unwanted sack of rice on the side of the road. Then had come the whispers and hidden looks that had seared her failure into her mind. After that, she'd put all of her efforts into being ready for this day. And with all that she'd gone through, she wasn't about to let that long struggle be for naught.

That was why she was currently trying to smash Ranma Saotome flatter than an okonomiyaki. Not that he was currently helping her in that regard, what with all the bouncing and dodging that he was doing. In fact, he wasn't even showing any sign of taking her as a threat, as he didn't attack her, even to defend himself. More than anything else, it seemed that he was content to run away.

So, she wasn't about to give him the opportunity to do so, and went for the most damage with her hits. That this resulted in the corner of her spatula cutting into the ground didn't matter, as she planned on doing the same to him. Slowing down didn't even occur to her, and she quickly snapped out three small spatulas to toss right at him.

Ranma just jumped up into the air, and did a split to avoid having any of them hitting him before he darted off.

Giving a great big yell, she charged forward, aiming to send a kick at his head even as her improvised shuriken poked into the property wall.

He just let her take out a training dummy instead.

In an attempt to keep him from running, Ukyo tossed out a bag that soon exploded into a fine white cloud that covered the entire yard.

That helped her a little, as his eyes widened with shock as she appeared before him and cut his shirt with her preferred weapon.

Satisfied that she was making some headway, she moved ahead, advancing on him as he backpedalled.

Of course, the barbell that flew out to nearly hit her didn't help.

Instead, trying to avoid the strike made her have take a couple of steps to the side. Unfortunately for her, that didn't mean that she was totally standing on solid ground any more, and what was firm wasn't quite even. Due to that, and her uncertainty about what her position was, she fell over... and wound up sitting right in the koi pond.

"Good! Maybe that will cool you off," growled the girl with the long blue hair as she strode forward, crossing her arms over her chest as she glared down at the young chef. "My mother might have been willing to let you take it outside, but I'm not sure that was far enough!"

"What's the problem with me fighting out here?" Ukyo muttered, almost sneering at the other girl.

"Just look at what you're doing to our yard!"

Frowning slightly, Ukyo found herself confused as to what the problem was... until she saw the grooves and bare patches in the grass, the spatulas sticking out of the property wall, the bits of wood littering certain spots, and a fine white coating over the area. "Okay, so I might have made a bit of a mess...."

"'Might have'?! You're turning our yard into a warzone?! And for what?! Just so that you could attack my uncle?!"

"It's more than that."

The other girl gave a loud snort and showed no signs of moving. "Then tell us what 'that' is."

Taking in blue haired girl's expression, the chef glanced over at the people looking out from the sitting area in the house and saw confusion there. They obviously had no idea of what was going on, and if what she'd already seen was true, they were not likely to take kindly to someone thrashing the area. As much as she didn't want to delay her revenge, she didn't want interference from people who didn't know the facts.

With a heavy sigh, she crossed her legs, still in the water, and settled her spatula in front of herself. "Everything started when I was a little kid. My father had a cart that he would sell okonomiyaki from, and we did pretty well, all things considering. And then we met Ranma and Genma Saotome on the road."

"Yup. It was real fun back then," Ranma cheerfully put in, standing a relatively safe distance away. "I always loved the games we usedta play."

"He used to steal okonomiyaki from the cart, and I'd try to stop him."

"Oooh...." went the 'audience'.

"Anyway, we did get along pretty well, all things considering. At least, that's what I thought. In fact, there was even an important promise that Genma swore he would follow through with."

Something about the blue haired girl's expression said that Genma's behavior hadn't changed. "What did he promise?"

"That when they left, the two of them would take our cart...."

"I remember that! It was pretty bad that we hadta go, but it was nice that ya followed us ta wave goodbye," Ranma commented, smiling slightly.

"You idiot! I was trying to chase you down!"

"Huh? Why would ya wanna do that?"

Ukyo let out a frustrated growl. "Because I was supposed to go with you, stupid! Your father promised mine that I would go with you two when you headed off back on your training trip!"

"He did what?!"

"It's just like I said. I was supposed to go with you, and your father left me on the road like trash. The other kids used to whisper about it for a long time afterwards, but it didn't matter. From that point, my life was dedicated to paying the both of you back for abandoning me like that! For ten long years, I trained, standing at the shore with the crashing waves as I honed my skills for the day when I'd find you again!"

"Why at the shore?" murmured the girl who'd answered the door.

The short haired girl gave a shrug. "It's probably one of those martial artist things."

"Ahem," mock coughed Ukyo. "But now I've found where the two of you are, and it's time to make you pay. For the crimes of stealing the cart, and abandoning the child that I was, I shall get my revenge!"

"Hey! Can't we talk this out?" asked the pigtailed boy.

"What can be said that will change anything now?"

[Ranma, meet Ukyo Kuonji,] read a panda held sign that popped up between them before being flipped. [Your fiancee]

"WHAT?!" went the humans there, save for Ukyo, who blinked in confusion, while:
