But then she wouldn't have expected such a thing from a government building. This was the sort of place where families of civil servants lived, and she'd gotten a small bit of that. Not that she'd wanted such a 'bonus', as it meant that she was going to be living by herself amongst people that she didn't know. Unfortunately, it'd been determined that she would be best taken care of by placing her in a place where the set up was spartan, and there was no hiding the 'government issue' nature of it all.
If she'd been asked, she'd have admitted to wanting to stay with Doctor Mizuno. Being bumped from place to place hadn't been fun, but when she'd gone to stay with the doc, she'd been hoping that she wouldn't have to move again. "That just it. I like this. Being a doctor like you's just what I want to be when I grow up!"
"Is that so? Well then, maybe you'll be able to help out with the patients when you're older."
"Really?" the little girl asked, hope making her eyes grow large.
"We'll see. But for right now, I've got to handle things myself."
"That's right.... Isn't today when Mai and her brother are coming?"
"Good memory."
"Thank you. It's just that it's so bad that he has to see doctors like he does though. And that she has to work so hard to take care of him."
