"No kidding," said Sailor Mars, pointing. "That's got to be the Las Vegas strip. I've seen it in videos."
"Something's wrong," said Sailor Moon. "WAH! I'm de-transforming!"
Sailor Mercury became Ami Mizuno again. "What's going on here?"
Tuxedo Kamen stood with them, looking uncertainly around, wishing he had an answer.
Ranma Saotome scratched his head. He'd swallowed that odd crystal thing, clobbered Happosai. Then this.
He felt oddly energized but everything also felt kind of "off" somehow.
There was also the undeniable fact that he was standing atop either Big Ben or a pretty darn good copy of it, looking out over a section of London. Except that he could see where there was a little line where the architecture changed abruptly and it looked like the Tokyo Tower and part of Juuban. Then another little line where the pavement changed color and buildings changed architecture, and it was some garish place with a lot of neon.
Turning around, he determined it was the same in all directions. Huh. Looked like someone had put the pyramids to the South outside the city, and there were other misplaced landmarks out even further.
"Pity we couldn't move the real things," said Grglethmp.
"We don't have nearly that power," said Thkthkthkm. "Not yet at any rate. We DO have access to the unformed chaos of that pocket there and we can't do much with it ourselves. Making copies of what THEY know is much easier."
"Right. We don't have any dark hentai energies to spare, but that particular subverse can do power-matching," said Grglethmp. "They expend power, we get the interest. Did you remember to put the rules in place?"
"I'm not Slthrge," said Zchthpht. "It's done. Now we just need to let the players know the rules of the game."
"The sacrifice has been accepted, the spell cast, the die rolled," came a booming voice that echoed across the world.
"I knew it, this is all the old freak's fault," muttered Ranma from atop Big Ben. Not that anyone else heard him except the Dark Hentai Gods.
The Dark Hentai Gods chose to answer, and everyone else DID hear their part. "Yes. It was the desire, the lust, the perversion, and the power of the one you named Happosai. Now the stage is set and is up to you to determine the outcome."
"I get the feeling this is going to be bad," muttered Fuu to her two friends.
"In this world, you cannot access your magical powers or psychic talents or advanced ki abilities until they've been unlocked," explained the booming voice. "Every magical girl or boy has someone of the opposite gender who can unlock those powers with a kiss or other act of love or devotion."
"So that's why my henshin pen isn't working?" asked Ami Mizuno, glancing at Mamoru Chiba and blushing.
"Escape from this world will require you to defeat the others, who will seek to do the same to you," said the booming voice. "On completion of this tournament, the one who has proven victorious will be granted a boon."
"A 'boon'?" asked Honey Kisaragi, crouched atop what seemed to be the Excalibur Hotel from Las Vegas.
"Yes," replied the booming voice. "A boon. It can be anything. Under a curse? You can have it nullified. Seeking a utopian future? It can be made to order. Just want everyone to go home? Not worth asking for since that will happen at the end of the tournament anyway.
"There can only be one at the end. One sekirei, one ashikabi. Or one girl and one guy. However you want to figure it.
"Take more than a week though, and the portal will close - leaving you unable to return to your homeworld."
