The first thing that Naruto saw when he awoke was Sarutobi’s worried face looking at him from across the Hokage’s desk which was loaded with paperwork. Naruto striated himself up so that he was sitting across from Sarutobi instead of lying like he was only a moment ago. On seeing Naruto awake, Sarutobi pulled out his pipe and put it in his mouth. The old Hokage then closed his eyes and took a deep breath before letting out a puff of smoke.
“Naruto,” Sarutobi started in a soft said tone before he continued to speak, “I must apologize to you. You see Naruto; I have known sense the day of your birth the identity of your parents.” At this news, Naruto let out a deafening, “WHAAT!” Naruto was about to continue yelling at the Hokage but was cut off by a serious glare from Sarutobi. “Your parents Naruto, especially your father, had during their lives accumulated a large number of enemies. These enemies would have killed you just to get revenge; and while more people in the village would probably treat you better had your heritage been known, that wouldn’t have protected you.” Sarutobi paused for a moment to see if Naruto was following what he was saying. After seeing that Naruto comprehended what was said, Sarutobi spoke up again. “Naruto, your mother was Jean Namikaze the wife of Minato Namikaze who was the Fourth Hokage.”
It took a few minutes for Naruto’s mind to reboot after hearing that particular piece of information, but Naruto soon came to and was waiting eagerly for Sarutobi to continue. “You see Naruto, you would have been told about your parents when you made Chunin but for one thing that happened today. Do you remember how you stopped those drunks that were about to hurt you earlier today?” At this question Naruto shook his head sadly looking a bit like a hurt puppy. “Naruto, you defended yourself by activating your bloodline limit.”
“I have a bloodline? I have a bloodline! So what cool awesome powers does it grant me old man?!” Naruto exclaimed now on the Hokage’s desk with his grinning face only inches away from Sarutobi’s. While chuckling at the boy’s enthusiasm, Sarutobi picked Naruto up and put him on his lap. “Yes Naruto, you have a bloodline that you got from your mother. It is a powerful and rare bloodline that in the entire world only you and your mother are known to have. I know what it allows you to do because I have seen your mother practice it and have read the book your mother left you on your powers so that I could help you when your powers awoke.”
Knowing that Naruto would want to know what he could now do Sarutobi began explaining what he knew to the human jumping bean. “Your bloodline allows you the ability of telepathy and telekinesis. That is Naruto, you have the ability to read minds and move objects with a thought. Now the reason you’re probably not reading my mind right now is because your powers are wild and you don’t know how to control them.”
Sarutobi took a second to look Naruto sternly in the eye before continuing. “Naruto, you have been given great power with your bloodline limit; but also that gives you a great responsibility to not abuse your power and to use it wisely. In order to help you do this I have found a Jonin who will help you train in your power and also help you in your regular ninja studies. You must take this VERY serious, do you understand me Naruto?” On seeing Naruto with a serious face slowly nod his head Sarutobi said, “Now then Naruto lets go meet your new teacher-”
