With Naruto’s hand firmly in his, Sarutobi walked out the door of his office and down a few levels till his and Naruto reached the ninja lounge on the first floor. Walking into the lounge Sarutobi approached a man with long yellow hair that was up in a pony tail and had a red jacket over his jonin vest who was lounging on the couch. The man, on seeing Sarutobi approach quickly got up and bowed respectfully while saying, “greetings Lord Hokage.” Sarutobi just smiled and said while looking down at the slightly puzzled face of Naruto, “this is Inoichi Yamanaka your new teacher Naruto.”
To the surprise of Sarutobi Naruto did not start jumping up and down but asked a very reasonable question. “Old Man, If how can he help me with my bloodline powers? I mean, don’t people need a person with the same bloodline or someone with extreme amounts of knowledge about the bloodline in order to learn?” At this Inoichi just smiled and said. “Those are some very good questions Naruto; besides, questioning things that don’t make sense is how great ninja get succeed.” Sarutobi, at seeing Inoichi and Naruto hit it off, quietly left the room after giving Naruto a friendly hug.
Inoichi then sat down on the couch and while waving his right hand a bit lazily continued to speak. “Now Naruto, with bloodline powers there are two things to know about them. The First is that while bloodlines give a ninja a bit of a boost, they don’t automatically mean that a person will succeed in the ninja work. You see, with enough training and determination a non gifted person can rather easily equal or surpass a person with a bloodline. The second thing about bloodlines is that sometimes parts of the abilities them can be replicated or at least a technique is developed that is similar to a particular effect. With this being the case, a person with a bloodline on a similar level of training as a person without the bloodline will almost always beat the person in the bloodline’s specialty. Do you follow me?”
Inoichi waited a few second for Naruto to think everything that he had said through. It made sense to the little boy and made him wonder if Inoichi fell into the second category he mentioned with bloodlines. Naruto then decided to voice his thoughts and said. “Sensei, can you mimic my bloodline?” Inoichi then snapped his right fingers and said. “You catch on pretty quick for a squirt Naruto. Yes, I can mimic part of your bloodline; to be more specific your mind-reading abilities. However, unlike you I leave my body completely open to attack and alert the person whose mind I’m reading if they think about what happens to them.”
Inoichi then got up and looked Naruto strait in the eye as before he began to finish his speech. “Naruto, If you give my your all then you will go far. I won’t kid you, its going to be tough for you. At times I won’t be able to help you because I’ve never worked with anything like some of your powers. But I will support you and I’m sure with your mother’s notes you’ll be able to do a great job.” Naruto and Inoichi stood there for a minute before Naruto grabbed Inoichi’s hand and almost dragged him out the door. Yelling at the top of his voice with a foxy grin on his face Naruto said. “Come on Sensei, its time for me to learn how to use these cool powers!!!”
