The Psyker bloodline grants a person immense telepathic and telekinetic power, but it does not grant a male the ability to be able to understand women nor does it prevent foot in mouth syndrome. Thus it should come as no surprise when Ino, after hearing Naruto’s joke, pulled back her fist and launched Naruto into a tree on the other side of the clearing. With her anger at a boiling point she screamed at the swirl eyed Naruto, “NEVER CALL ME A PIG YOU IDOT!!”
Once Ino calmed down she started to look for Naruto as he wasn’t right next to his impact print. She found him after a second sitting on a tree stump with his hands folded on his chest, his eyes closed, and his face in ‘pouting fox’ mode. In a slightly angry tone Naruto addressed Ino, “Can’t you take a joke? After all, your name does mean pig right?” A small tic appeared on Ino’s forehead before she shoot back, “you have no room to speak fishcake.”
The two of them looked across the meadow that Naruto was training in for a few minutes before Ino’s face completely softened and she asked Naruto a question that was starting to bug her. “Naruto, how come Iruka never mentioned the Psyker bloodline when we were going over bloodline limits a month ago?” Naruto just put his hand behind his head as he nervously answered. “Hehehe, that’s because the Psyker bloodline isn’t native to the elemental countries.” In the back of his mind Naruto muttered to himself; true, it isn’t even native to this planet!
Ino blinked her eyes twice before she moved on to the next question on her long list. “Okay, I can understand that. But if the Psyker bloodline isn’t native to the elemental countries, how do you have it?” Although Ino couldn’t see it, Naruto was starting to sweat bullets on the back of his head. Before Ino could realize there was a problem Naruto remembered the cover story his parents had hashed together and relayed it to Ino.
After listening to Naruto Ino had a smirk on her face, and not just any smirk but a ‘cat got the cream and the canary while framing the dog’ smirk. Naruto, seeing the smirk, started to get real nervous figuring that he wasn’t going to like what she was thinking. Naruto was proven right when Ino opened her mouth. “While then Naruto, sense you can read minds and have a style of taijutsu similar to mine, you’re my new training partner.” Naruto blinked twice before inquiring, “I am?” At this Ino nodded her head and replied in a chipper voice. “Yes Naruto, you are going to be my new training partner. Unless, of course, you want me to tell the whole village that you have a powerful bloodline and are training in it.” Naruto bowed his head knowing that she had him right where she wanted him.
