And the truth was that he didn't want to deal with that mess right then. Because of Akane's little 'recruiting' spree, he now had a little group of pokegirls, which made for a really bothersome pain in the ass, but he was lucky that she didn't take every free pokegirl in the lab. What he did need though was some time to get away from the fact that she'd collected girls in a way that the girl that he remembered would have bashed him for.
Besides, he needed to find something to do that would get him out, and onto his future, not stuck on the current screw up that his journey had started out as.
Sighing heavily, and pressing one palm to his face, he idly strolled over to where the fliers were waiting. Getting a job wasn't exactly on his 'most desired tasks' list, but he knew that it would give him two things that he'd wanted, opportunities and rewards. Being able to get some training in, or having a chance to certainly pluses, and he didn't have any particular aversions to work. If nothing else, he had to do something, and it was better that he made the choice before he got to forced to act like some lazy idiot.
However, as he stepped up to the pole, he noticed some things that told him that he wasn't going to have some glaring sign as to a path to easy glory. Not that the extremely thoughtful look that Minsc was giving the pole was any indication of that, as his memories told him that the big man tended to look pained when thinking. The concern over the notices came from what they looked like themselves. Some were colored and frayed by age, obviously too out of date to help him. Others didn't look all that particularly appealing or suitable, like working maintenance at a women's dorm. And as much as he figured that he'd be able to find one of his pokegirls suitable, he didn't particularly want to deal with the headache that would come from having them participate in a beauty contest.
One of them did catch his eye, and he peered intently at that posting as he considered what it would be like if he signed up for:
