Akane frowned at the cube and tried to come to terms with what it had told her. That the woman who looked like her real sister, only older and more worn, was the sister of the her that was from the universe she was in. In effect, she was her sister, or at least her identity's sister.

That only made her want to be on the rescue mission more. Out there, somewhere on the planet was her 'sister' and she was stuck back in the ship. Adding to that was the fact that she had caused Red to get into the mess and that everything that she had done had resulted in one mess after another.

Plus she'd just love a chance to show up Xiang.

But she was on the Red Streak rather than with them, and had no way to know what was going on. And that left her with a mixture of concern, anger and worry.
