Tarre was the weakest point. She was barely coming into adult-hood, her dragonform barely passed seven feet in length, and she was only a little larger than a small bear. She had no fear aura yet, and Mira privately doubted if she'd ever develop one. Her magical ability was developing, she could summon a small region of darkness now, but she couldn't actually cast spells.
Still, a dragon of her age should still have been able to rip through a few goblins. Unfortunately...she was absoultely terrified of goblins and especially goblins with nasty iron cages. If Mira had known there'd be goblins involved she wouldn't have told Tarre about this.
As for WHY Mira had told Tarre about this?
Well, Mira had her own opinions of just who Ranma should end up with, and Ranma's little freudian slips earlier certainly encouraged her matchmaking schemes.
"Are you okay with this, Tarre?" Ranma asked.
The slinkly little "drow" nodded emphatically, biting her lip as she did so. If Ranma and Mira were here, they'd protect her.
"Okay, wait for me to attack, Tarre," Mira said taking the younger dragon by the shoulders and looking her in eye. Mira noted with a small trace of satisfaction that it was difficult pulling her from Ranma and even Ranma looked reluctant to separate from her. "When they're all panicking from the dragon fear come out of that pool over there and take them from behind. Okay? Then we throw some ice and acid, Ranma opens the cages, and we leave, got it?"
"Um hm," Tarre said.
"Good," Ranma said. 'If you have any trouble, just yell, got it?"
"Mmm hmm," Tarre said, still biting her lip. Mira and Ranma exchanged a doubtful look and sighed.
"Okay, let's go to it!" Ranma said.

The first part of the plan went like clockwork. The majority of the goblins panicked as the large silver dragon came down out of the sky upon their camp. The situation was not helped when Tarre slinked out of the pool they had been collecting water form and added her own...attempts at being a ferocious dragon. And then Ranma had rushed in to the cages and started freeing the various creatures inside.
What none of them planned on was what came out of the spelljammer in response to the combat. It appeared human at first, but quickly smiled and revealed itself as...
