"Errr. 'second wife'?" asked Miroku, eyes widening.
"Yes, you really should stop flirting with all those girls and settle down to a manageable few," said Sango, her voice completely calm.
"So is there a 'first wife'?" asked Miroku.
A tree branch lifted from the ground, floated serenely over, and poised itself near his head.
"Uhm, you would be 'first wife'?" asked Miroku.
"Such confidence in your choice," replied Sango, looking vaguely displeased.
"Well, of course, you WOULD be first wife," appended Miroku, trying to sound more firm and confident.
As the tree branch lowered itself into their campfire, Miroku let out a deep breath. That was when the full import of what Sango had just stated hit him.
"Inuyasha!" said a sparkly-eyed Miroku. "THANK YOU!"
"I didn't do nothin'," protested Inuyasha.
"Sango," said Kagome, rising smoothly to her feet. "I think some lightsaber practice is in order."
"Indeed, good Kagome," said Sango.
Vshhhhhtttt vummmm!
Vshhhhhhhhhtt vummmm-ummmm
"Swords?" asked Inuyasha, thinking it wasn't fair that HE didn't get a new sword if those two got them. Then again, he DID have Tetsaiga.
vummm-twao-twao-twash-vummm
Miroku ignored the clash of energy swords, focussed more on how Sango's body flexed and shifted as she leapt and parried. That itself was secondary to the thoughts of having more than one girl, with himself at a temple surrounded by all sorts of lovelies.
Shippo wondered what he'd have to do to get a glowing sword-thing like that.
After a few moments, some signal passed between the two and they reached out simultaneously in the same direction with one hand, then made a jerking motion.
Kagura, quite obviously surprised, flew into the clearing and hit the grass like a thrown sack of flour.
"What impertinence," began Kagura as she got up.
Vshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Kagura looked down at the sword held less than an inch from her chin.
"Spying on us, Kagura?" asked Kagome.
