The Landing [Episode 2]

After fifteen years of marriage, Akane STILL hadn't given up dropping that bucket of water over his head if he didn't wake up fast enough. Ranma smirked as he sat up, keeping a watch on Akane's mood. Sometimes, if she was feeling kinky, she'd dump the water on him anyway.

"Something's gotta happen soon," Ranma said with a smirk. "I'm gettin' as lazy as pop used to be."

"I won't let that happen," Akane said, setting the bucket down Ranma half-sighed in apparent dismay. Akane noticed the exaggerated gesture and gave him a sidelong glance. "Classes start today, we have to get ready."

"Right," Ranma said. "I know, let me just..." He was interrupted by the sound of something loudly slamming into the roof above them, rolling along and then flashing past their bedroom window before smacking into the ground below.

"What was that?!" Akane asked.

"I don't know," Ranma said seriously. "Let's find out." At least they were alone in case it was something dangerous. Ranma and Akane could handle most things no problem, but bystanders increased the difficulty. Both martial artists went out the window and dropped down to find...

• ...a girl with great black raven wings who had obviously been in a fight recently and lost badly.

  "...tengu-witch..." the girl muttered, half-conciously. "...stole my life..."

  The funny thing was, that aside from wings, and bird-like eyes, she looked exactly like Kodachi had just before the gymnast had gotten married.

• ...Ryouga laying sprawled out on the ground.
• ...a strange girl in chain mail and leather that looked like one of those dark elves out of that American fantasy game. She had an old scar running across one cheek and sat unconcious, obviously having been battered by her landing. A flute was clutched in one hand.
• ...something they never expected to see.
• "Hey, Mom and Dad," their son, Akechi, said sheepishly. "Hitomi is still sensitive about getting lost."
• ...a smoking crater full of smoke where their garden used to be.
