After all, who wanted to give away more when selling property? Rather, the idea was that the new owners were going to want to dress the slaves as they would want and need anyway, so there was no push to add to it. Even there were women and girls who could make the 'outfits' look good, and they had plenty of 'play' among free people. However, as there were plenty of roles that came with uniforms, and lots of individuals who wanted to dress their slaves according to their own style, it didn't make sense to work more on it.
The pigtailed boy just wanted to get his slave to be dressed in something that didn't make it look like she was about to give off a free show. That brought a sigh from him, since that meant that he'd have to use money on her. He understood the responsibility, but the thing was that any money he had been hard to put away. Not only was he not a big saver in the first place, but he had to contend with his father's lack of restraint as well. Of course, she needed something that wasn't paper thin, so that meant he was going to be out of new comics or snacks for a while.
His main problem was that he didn't particularly know what the hell to get her. Most boys his age would have drooled over the chance to dress a firm breasted young woman, but the fact was he was trying to not bring up the confusion of those feelings. There were already enough problems for him, as there had always been all sorts of different 'theories' on how a slave should dress. Some people thought that it was best to just go with whatever worked, others desired to make their slaves into reflections of themselves, many wanted to clearly mark a slave as being such, and a few let the slaves pick out their own clothing. As he was currently getting a view of first the valley of her cleavage, and then her backside as she looked around at her sandals, he figured that 'sooner' would be better than 'latter'.
Unfortunately, he wasn't too sure as to what to get her. Letting her borrow some of his things might work, but her figure was much more curved than his, and he thankfully hadn't had to think about dressing a shapely body until then. Taking her to a men's store was also not going to work well for that reason. However, he wasn't too keen on getting into a lady's boutique, as that was too creepy an idea for him. A sports store could work... so long as he only dressed her in exercise clothes, or some sort of team jersey. And he didn't particularly know about what he might get in a cosplay store.
What he needed was some help from someone who knew about women's clothing.
Of course, he rather doubted that the woman coming towards him right then was about to offer him help in that regard. It wasn't that she wasn't attractive, as her lithe and shapely body had a sort of tough beauty to it. However, she wasn't exactly looking at him with her remaining eye, with her right one covered by a large patch.
"Uhhh... Hi," he murmured as she came to a stop in front of him. "Can I do somethin' for ya?"
"Yes, you can," the woman told him, her gaze even and firm with his.
"What would that be?"
"You just brought this slavegirl, right?"
"Yeah...."
"Give her to me."
Ranma's eyes shot wide and he stared at his visitor. "What?!"
"I need you to give her over to me, and you need to do it."
"And why would I do somethin' like that?"
"Because I'm going to have to hurt you if you don't," the rough looking brunette told him, watching as Melfina huddled behind her Master.
"Ya really think that ya can do somethin' like that?"
"If I have to. Now, I'm not looking to bother you, kid."
"I'm not a kid!"
Ignoring his outburst, the woman went on as if he hadn't spoken. "But I have to have that slave."
"Good for ya, but no goin'. I ain't givin' her up."
"Cut the bravado, kid. You don't know what's going on here, and you don't know what's at stake."
"Funny, I didn't think that I asked."
"Don't try to be cute about this," his visitor retorted. "You have no idea about what you're up against."
"Ya that tough?"
"I'd like to think so. But the thing is that I'm not what you need to worry about."
"Listen, 'bout the only thing that I've been worryin' about is about how I'm supposed ta take care of Melfina," the teenager grumbled.
"Don't tell me that you've already gotten attached to her. Damn, what's it with you guys and pretty girls? Always winding up turned into drooling idiots."
"Hey, I didn't drool when ya came over here."
The older woman blinked as she tried to figure out what that meant, but soon put it aside. "Kid, all this is fun, but it isn't important. Right now, you have a choice to make, and it's better if you do it with me."
"Why's that?"
"Because it's better to deal with me, than with them."
This time, it was Ranma who was left to puzzle out a vague answer, while:
