"Sqm yerself," said Ranma to the panel, not speaking whatever alien language was being used.
"Sqm urr se'f kav nar," replied the side panel. "Ksh nur!"
"Ksh nur sqm!" tried Ranma.
"Ksh nur sqm," replied the side panel before a light grid abruptly covered Ranma then went out.
"Okay, THAT was different," said Ranma, blinking the afterimages away.
The system noted no control disc, which was obviously impossible so the control disc must simply be cloaked - meaning this was a spot inspection with the unit's REAL rank and division concealed. There was only one reason for such to be done.
The mothership utilized bio-technology for the most part, with "hard" technologies incorporated where it was more efficient. All the systems were interconnected.
Except for those that had experienced the gentle hand of Happosai, of course.
BOOM!
Though the vermin that had apparently gotten loose was causing great problems, the system knew that that unit at the malfunctioning admin junction was at least of High Master rank. The system quailed in its semi-organic circuits at the thought of being caught by a Supervisor when it was operating at less than 100% efficiency.
An inquiry was made of the Supervisor unit. Which responded by throwing the inquiry back. Confirmation of worst fears.

Both he and his dread Master were good at dodging and avoiding things (like outraged teenage girls and responsibility) and at causing problems for other people to deal with.
Oh boy, was Genma Saotome ever in his element.
It had gone into the reconstruction tube, been intubated in the embrace of the biomechanical goo, and had been rebuilt to serve its new role quickly and efficiently.
It was not an individual, not anymore, merely another biological device for a specific purpose.
At a summons, the unit went through a quick diagnostic as it was programmed to do upon activation. Once complete, and only desiring to serve, it went with all due speed to where the designated Supervisor awaited it.
That it had once been a girl named 'Akane Tendo' was of no concern to the unit. If necessary for functions, it was simply part AKN10D0 of Block 92D, which was a designated
