'What to do?!' He winced as the dizzying feeling came back in full force. Ever since he had entered this school, his anemic symptoms had been acting up. Far worse than usual. He was honestly surprised that he hadn't blacked out by now.
"Shiki Tohno?"
He vaguely heard his name called by his teacher and was about to answer when the door to his class opened. "Sorry I'm late!"
"It's okay! You are...?"
The new arrival made her way to the front of the class and gave a brief bow as she made her introduction. "My name is Moka Akashiya! A pleasure to meet all of you!"
Immediately, most of the boys started murmuring about how cute she was and started making plans to write love letters and/or stalk her in between class. "Well, there's an empty seat behind Tohno-kun so you can take that," said Nekonome-sensei.
Her eyes looked towards where her teacher was pointing and immediately lit up as she saw her new friend. "So that's your name! I'm so glad we're in the same class together! Call me Moka-san, ok? Can I call you as Shiki?" And Moka being Moka immediately glomped on to Shiki. With his weak constitution though, he pretty much fainted within a few seconds of getting embraced by the vampire.
"Shiki?!"
He groaned once as he came to. He could feel that he was lying on a bed. "W-where am I?"
"Thank goodness you're awake!" Before he knew it, Moka's cute face was right in front of him.
"Moka-san? You brought me here?" Shiki could recognize the interior decoration of a nurse's office. Lord knows how many visits he had to make while in his elementary school years.
She backed off a little. "I must say... you must be pulling off a clever act. Looking weak that is..."
Shiki blinked as he got up from the bed. "Huh?"
"It really makes you seem like a human!" said the girl cheerfully with a smile. "I don't know if my disguise is good enough though..."
"You look pretty human to me. How is it that you're..."
She carefully thrust out her upper torso, much to the young man's embarassment, and pointed to the cross she was wearing. "You see, once this comes off, I transform into a very evil and scary vampire. This helps to keep my powers sealed."
'...... even someone as kind-hearted as you is a monster.' It didn't take too long for Shiki to realize that he had to get out of here.
"But even with my power sealed, I do still like drinking blood. Before I've been getting by on tomato juice and blood transfusion packs but your blood is top notch! It's full bodied, sweet and the mineral balance is perfect! In fact..." A small blush appeared on her cheeks. "You are the first person whose body I have ever fed from. I won't ever forget that feeling..."
"I'm not food, Moka-san," said Shiki in a flat tone.
"I know but... you smell so good..."
"Whoa!! Down, girl!! DOWN!!!"
KAAAAAPPPPPPUUUUUCCCCCCHHHHHUUUUU!!!
