He'd Willed himself free of the curse. No problem with that, at least at first.
Once he'd Willed that he had a CUTE fiancee instead of Akane, for all that it had just been a reflexive little jab, the problems had really started.
The next thing he'd known, everything had rewound and he'd found out that Akane had been engaged to Tatewaki Kuno. Which he'd fixed as soon as he'd been able to get to it, as NOBODY deserved that particular fate.
Soun had engaged himself to Ranma's female cursed form, having somehow gotten that reinstated when everything had rewound to the new state.
It had been his dissatisfaction with that outcome that had caused Ranma to fiddle around more with the Great Will than he might otherwise have done. He'd figured out how to make an interface and directly ask questions of the universe, and have the Great Will try to make alterations on its own by him telling it what the end result he wanted was.
Which had apparently caused a number of alterations in the universe itself, and human history in particular.
Now there was a set of changes backtracked to something called 'the Eemian Interglacial' - which was apparently a long time ago. A virus or something had altered things in human genetics, and Ranma was still stumbling over the results.
Eight to one was the ratio of women to guys. Women didn't fight over who got the guy, normally. They certainly didn't fight the guy in that sort of competition. Fight to see who was First - much more likely.
Female sex drive, sensitivity, and responsiveness were now eight times as high as they'd originally been. Which meant, among other things, that women responded and tired faster from those sorts of activities.
Male sex drive, responsiveness, and so on, was now 1/16th the original value. Also because those responses were muted, they tended to last longer. Which further caused the male to have less interest in sex as their partner would finish up long before they did.
Because women were interested in sex, men less so, men were hardly ever seen as perverts. Which, oddly enough, had been the original result that Ranma had been aiming for.
He was also the heir to the Duke of Juuban, which had surprised the heck out of Ranma.
Ranma had learned he had two ninja retainers, named Hayabusa and Hayate.
"The Lord has apparently accepted you, congratulations," said Hayate to his sister.
"Is this true, Lord Ranma?" asked Ayane.
"Eh?" asked Ranma dubiously.
"As a ninja in your service?" asked Hayabusa.
"Oh, sure," said Ranma. "Glad to have ya aboard."
"Boy, don't sell yourself so cheap," grumbled Genma.
"Eh?" asked Ranma.
"She's a girl," said Genma, ignoring the 100watt glare Ayane had turned on him. "If you accept her as your kunoichi, you'd better specify that she's not your First."
"I would not dream of trying to trick my Lord that way," protested Ayane.
Ranma scratched his head. "My 'first'?"
"First Wife," supplied Hayate. "It is not a decision to be made lightly after all. There are political and other considerations to be made."
"Oh, right, right," said Ranma, taking in Ayane's look at him and trying to figure it out. "Uhm. Well, yeah, I was talking about being on my team of ninja and you being able to work with your brother and stuff like that."
"Ah, yes, my thanks Lord," said Ayane, kneeling on the floor of the passenger car briefly. "I swear to do my best and prove myself worthy."
Genma rolled his eyes and looked pained. "Boy's put his foot in it, AGAIN."
"Yup." "Sure has." "Better him than me." Similar other comments were voiced by the crowd of males in the car.
