The various Senshi were, of course, ready.
"WAHHHHHH! WHAZZAT?!" asked Usagi.
"You know you're blowing smoke, don't you?" asked Cologne in a quiet tone while almost everyone else was reacting to the noise. "The Japanese islands are volcanic and didn't form that long ago. An area of Asia corresponding to Japan was subducted by plate tectonics fifteen million years before our former present."
"Oh," said Pluto. She shrugged after a moment. "All right, geology isn't one of my fields of expertise. How did you know?"
"I watched a special on TV, it was right after my soap operas," said Cologne with a sigh. "Those - I'm going to miss."
"HNNNNNUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" came a very similar sound to the first one.
"BWAKKKKK!" came a mostly different sound.
"You might not want to do anything to change the timestream," began Sailor Pluto.
"You honestly think they'll listen?" asked Cologne, who'd already figured out what the sounds were too.
"Kids," said Pluto.
"Indeed," said Cologne, arching an eyebrow and folding her hands in front of her.
"Watch Star Trek do you?" asked Pluto, recognizing the manner.
"I prefer 'Next Generation' over the original," said Cologne. "Can't say that about much."
"Indeed," said Pluto, imitating a Vulcan herself.
"RUN!" said someone else.
"Mamo-chan?!" said Usagi.
The first thing they saw was a baby dinosaur.
"Awwwwwww!" predictably gushed Shampoo. Well, maybe not so predictable.
The next thing charging out of the forest was a guy in formal wear who was running as fast as he could. Which was actually a fairly respectable clip.
"GRAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" said what was chasing them as IT got out of the forest, knocking aside a tree as it came.
"I KNOW THAT ONE!" declared Akane, pointing. "That's a T-REX!"
"Currently heading our way," noted Nabiki, trying to look perfectly calm and unfazed. Her hair having suddenly fwooshed out like a koosh ball kind of spoiled that image.
