It was just after noon at the Tendo Dojo, and Genma and Ranma were still no shows in the lower portion of the house. Finally tired of the lack of company, Soun stood from his seat at the table and made his way upstairs.
"Oh Genma," he called at the door to the guest room, "I'm coming in!" Snickering at the memory of the last time he had said that, Soun pushed open the door. What he was going to say next died on his lips as he saw the empty room.
Minutes passed in silence until Soun finally did what he does best. He dropped to his knees and cried.
Ranma stopped in his walking for a moment as he felt a shiver run down his back.
"What's wrong, Ranma?" Hotaru looked up at the package laden Ranma. While she had never been big on shopping before, she was going to have her own home soon! She didn't forget that Genma had told Ranma that he had to get her a home. That meant decorating, which meant she needed more lamps! And with Ranma to carry the packages, all she had to carry was the set of fighting gloves that she (and Ranma) were getting Haruka for her birthday.
"I think someone just walked over my grave," came the reply from a nervous Ranma who was now looking around."
Hotaru blinked at that. "Have you ever felt like that before?" If something was really worrying her husband, she needed to find a way to make him feel better!
"Only once or twice a week," Ranma replied distractedly. "So," he continued, turning his attention to his new wife, "where to now?"
"Home," came the chirpy reply. "Well, Haruka-papa and Michiru-mama's home. We can stay there until you find us our own place."
Ranma twitched at that. "We can?"
"Of course," Hotaru said as she began to skip down the road, "come on!"
At Furinkan High School, Akane had been dodging the questioning glares of Ukyo all morning. While she had been able to avoid answering any questions during class, lunch had finally arrived, and Ukyo had her cornered.
"Alright Akane," Ukyo said as she glared at her rival fiancee. "Where's Ranma?"
"How should I know?" came Akane's grumbled reply. "Its not like that pervert would tell me where he's going."
Ukyo's eyes bored into Akane. "What the hell does that mean?"
"It means I don't know where he is. I went to wake him up and him and his father were gone." Akane let out another humph. "He probably ran off with that floozy Shampoo. What do I care what he does anyway?"
Ukyo's eyes practically glowed with anger. "He what!? That bastard!" Not wasting any more words, Ukyo ran for the door. She was going to hunt down her fiance and deal with him.
