Still, Ash remembered Minsc (named after a Russian city his ancestors had come from) as one of his few friends. As Minsc only had ONE pokegirl, and that was a mousegirl named Boo, he could use some serious help.
Not to mention that with HIS pokegirls, Ash could provide longer range for exploration.
"Count me in," said Ash to his much-larger friend.
"Ah, the forces of evil shall feel the iron boot of righteousness on their tushies," declared Minsc.
"Squee," agreed Boo.
Valles Marineris was a region of canyons along the equatorial Tharsis plateau. At its deepest it was 7 kilometers below Mars' surface. It was naturally a choice area for mining and several necessary minerals. Some areas were good for farming as proximity to the canyon walls tended to discourage some of the windstorms that swept Mars from time to time.
Valles Marineris was split into several different sections: Noctis Labyrinthus (The Labyrinth Of Night), Ius, Tithonium Chasmata, Melas, Candor, and Ophir Chasmata. Coprates Chasma, Eos, and Ganges Chasmata rounded out the various sections.
Within the martian communities though, Valles Marineris usually meant the Agridome and mining complex within Candor Chasma.
Bandits were operating in the region, as the want ad indicated. What the note didn't say was that the bandits were:
