Michiru was busy considering several things while sitting in a small coffee shop that Ranma had pointed out for the two of them. Kasumi had been extremely hospitable and had offered the Kaiohs breakfast at the Tendos’. However, both Ranma and Michiru had declined Kasumi’s offer. It was just too uncomfortable for both of them to eat at the Tendos so shortly after everything that had happened. Thus the newlyweds had gone out, with Ranma carrying a backpack of his things, to find a place to eat.
As Michiru finished off her breakfast she thought about something that was weighing heavily on her mind. Ranma was not aware of her secondary identity as Sailor Neptune and that was something that he needed to know. Besides the fact that Ranma was the only man who could father her successor, Michiru knew that keeping the fact that she was Sailor Neptune would most likely cause friction in her new marriage.
The big question on Michiru’s mind at the moment was how she was supposed to tell her husband. Luckily an idea had slowly formed in her mind and it all revolved around Ranma’s curse. Since Ranma was very well acquainted with magic she could start by telling him of her own experiences with magic.
Looking up and locking her eyes with Ranma’s, Michiru started to speak. “Ranma, earlier today you asked me if I believed in magic before you showed me you-know-what. The reason why I said that I believed in magic then was because I have had my own experiences with magic. My experiences haven’t been as unfortunate as yours, but I need to talk to you about them privately.”
Ranma quickly nodded his head and asked for the bill. Part of him was curious as to what kind of experiences Michiru had with magic, but he didn’t give it too much thought. She was apparently going to tell him once they had a private place to talk and that was enough for Ranma at the moment. After the bill was paid Ranma and Michiru quietly left the café with Michiru in the lead.
Michiru quickly led Ranma through several side streets until they came to an abandoned alley. She then turned around and calmly said, “It’s easier for me to just show you what I meant instead of just telling you. If you’ve been listening to the gossip in the city you will probably understand what I mean once I demonstrate.” With that Michiru pulled out her transformation pen and said, “Neptune Planet Power, Make-UP!”
