The others shifted slightly, ready to charge in.
They weren't ninjas from the mysterious clan that had some apparent grudge to use against Ranma or his father. Didn't mean they weren't prepared.
"I'll get them this time," muttered Tira as she looked over her targets.
"What the heck?" asked one of the other weapons wielders. "What are all these people doing here?"
"What other people?" asked Tira absently. Vengeance would be hers at last.
"There's the two groups on the ground," said the minion. That might not be what he considered himself to be but Tira thought of him that way. "There's also three... four people who aren't part of OUR group watching."
"Huh?" asked Tira, that penetrating her bloody plans of vengeance. "Someone out to steal our kill maybe?"
"I don't think so," said the minion.
"That must be it!" Tira declared, drawing her ring-shaped weapons. "Bird Of Passage loses to no one!"
"...but..." said the minion as Tira leapt to the attack. "oh hell, not again."
It started out simply. Ryoga was fighting Genma. Simple enough, right?
"Tira," recognized Xianghua as the ring-weapon-wielder tried to attack Ryoga and ended up nearly decapitating Genma. Genma responded by grabbing and throwing Tira - onto a roof where she apparently hit a ninja that was hidden up there.
At which point things went completely into the toilet.
Xianghua drew her own blade Krita-Yuga and blocked a set of kunai from that ninja, and faced... one of her countrywomen?! "Shampoo?!"
"Xianghua?" asked Shampoo, using a bonbori to block Xianghua's attack. "Oh, is that you husband?"
"Is so," said Xianghua, blocking Shampoo's return attack. "You is no with psycho crazy girl is you?"
"(Which one?)" asked Shampoo, slipping back to her own language.
"(Tira. The one with the great big circular weapon,)" answered Xianghua in the same language.
"(No, I'm with the ninja in the red leather,)" answered Shampoo as she continued to exchange blows with her cousin.
"(Ah, well, shall we change partners in this dance?)" asked Xianghua.
"(Sounds good,)" agreed Shampoo, leaping to one side.
"(See you later then,)" said Xianghua as she leapt to the other side.
"And you is?" asked Xianghua's opponent.
"Xianghua, that my husband over there. Is you attack hims?" asked Xianghua as she blocked a multi-strike manuever.
"No, I'm after the big bald guy," confessed the ninja.
"Oh, is okay, switch partner now?" asked Xianghua.
"How about I defeat you first!" said the ninja, drawing a second weapon.
Taki was not going to get involved. Having the large man throw someone on top of her, who immediately tried to use some exotic weapon against her - that sufficed.
At this point however - she wasn't sure who was fighting who or that anyone actually cared about little details like that.
"This has gone completely FUBAR," said Taki as she realized she had just clashed her sword against Shampoo's bonbori.
"Aiyah," agreed Shampoo. "Change partner again. 1. 2. 3!"
CLANG! CLASH!
"Who are you?" asked Taki as she quickly disarmed her opponent.
"Does it matter?" asked the opponent, drawing another weapon.
The pommel of Taki's sword slammed into the woman's forehead. "I guess not."
