As Inari went over Ranma’s memories he couldn’t help but smirk in triumph. Ranma Saotome was indeed a powerful human. That fool Nirrti would probably have classified Inari’s new host as a Hok’taur. However, Inari was not too surprised at Ranma’s amazing abilities due to the fact that Inari was well aware of the Tau’ri’s great potential as a race. The martial arts that Ranma cared so much about were actually a variation and improvement upon what Inari had once taught his own Jaffa in order to unlock the Tau’ri’s potential.
To Inari’s surprise and amusement, Ranma suddenly tried to retake control of his body by using chi to attack Inari’s actual symbiote body. Had Inari been any other Goa’uld, Ranma would have undoubtedly been able to win his freedom. Unfortunately for Ranma’s bid for freedom, Inari knew how to take control of human’s chi. Ranma had struggled valiantly in his bid to destroy Inari, but in the end Ranma was defeated and forced into a corner of his mind.
Now fully in control of his new body, Inari stood up and brushed the bits of glass off of him. Thanks to a combination of his symbiote self’s healing abilities and the manipulation of Ranma’s chi Inari was able to instantly heal all the cuts on his body. Inari then folded his arms across his chest and thought about what he should do. Unlike other Goa’uld, the former system lord had never really considered the whole god complex to be a very useful method of gaining power. From Ranma’s memories Inari knew that using such a tactic would just cause him more trouble than it was worth.
The first that Inari to do was to pretend to be Ranma Saotome for a little bit, at least until he had retrieved his queen and four generals. He then left the Egyptian Exhibit and went to find the students of Furinkan High. It didn’t take Inari too long to find Ranma’s classmates as the majority of them were currently in the North American wing of the museum.
Inari was quickly spotted by one of the girls in the class who, according to Ranma’s memory, was Akane Tendo. Akane marched over to where Inari was standing and said, “Where were you Ranma? We’re supposed to stick together and not wander off, remember?”
Inari just shrugged his shoulders and said in Ranma’s voice, “Whatever tomboy. Can’t a guy just get to enjoy some peace and quiet for a chance?” Akane gave Inari a good glare for few seconds before she turned her head and quietly muttered the word pervert. She then walked back to her friends not seeing the small smirk that was Inari’s lips for a second. He had successfully managed to pass himself off as Ranma and could now start on his real plans.
