Finding Ranma Saotome wasn’t that hard, not with the likes of Batman around. Wonder Woman prepped a Javelin for take off while the search was conducted through Japanese records.
They were not taking the teleporter because Diana had gone off to prep said jet. The reason being was she needed time to digest what had happened and the flight would give her the time she needed.
A Japanese fiancé. She would have never have thought.
In addition to the bride-to-be a few members of the League were coming along. Batman was manning the plane’s controls, determined to see this would-be-groom. And he would not allow the wedding, whenever that was, to go though if he found him lacking.
And he would be found lacking.
Green Lantern also joined in, if not for Diana’s sake then to meet someone with a more screwed up love life than his own. The fact that Batman was in a bad mood about the whole affair was an extra incentive.
Then again he never saw Batman in a good mood.
Green Arrow was along as well, mostly because he wanted to see if Batman would be able to dredge up an actual clue and admit he cared for Diana. He was actually rooting for this ‘Ranma’ guy to be a good catch, if not to make Batman feel threatened and try and get something he already had then so Diana would have at least someone to love and be loved by.
He was tired of hearing about Batman’s missed dates from Black Canary who heard them from Stargirl who heard them from...
J’onn J’onzz, alias John Jones, alias Martian Manhunter had heard of the decree from Batman and came along as moral support for Wonder Woman and to see this human she found herself engaged to.
And he needed to pick up some Oreos; he was hoping to get some on the way back.
Dr. Light wasn’t present at the Metrotower at the time, but she was about to come on shift so was asked to meet them at their landing site since she was the only Japanese person on the League roster, more to understand the culture of Japan than anything else really as a few choice members (Both with Green in their titles) had thought Batman would be to... distracted to help much.
The language barrier wasn’t going to be a problem as John Stewart brought to the Justice League not only his powers as a Green Lantern but the technology they had as well, including a translator that was added to all the League’s communicators.
Considering that the Green Lantern Corps ran into two or so new species of aliens a week it was considered a reliable place to get translators from.
The team of five (And which would grow to six) sped off for Japan, leaving Metropolis as Hermes arrived at the Tendo Dojo.
Reactions to his wish were... not unexpected to say the least. Then again considering his day started out with Akane being turned into a very large dog he should have seen this coming.
Currently Ryouga had gotten lost while no one was looking, at which time Akane apologized (Although since she was a dog at the time it was hard to tell) so she could turn back to human so she could yell at Ranma for wishing for another bimbo only to turn back into a dog again as Ryouga finally returned, dog handler’s book in hand.
No one noticed any of the above but Ranma.
Shampoo and Ukyou had discarded all martial arts knowledge in favour of a hair-pulling, clothes ripping catfight.
Cologne had arrived and sighed. This wasn’t how an Amazon fought for her husband.
Nabiki was snapping photos of the cat fight, particularly when Shampoo’s breast was exposed.
Happosai sat up from his nap in Hong Kong. Don’t ask why he was there, he just was. Shrugging he fell back asleep.
Mousse had arrived to win the love of his Shampoo, this time with his glasses on to do it properly. Upon seeing Shampoo’s breast he fainted with a bloody nose and a wide smile.
Ranma sighed and accepted a cup of tea from Kasumi as he watched the chaos continue to unfold.
Genma and Soun responded to Ranma’s wish by waging war over a game of Shogi.
Kuno was out fishing with a line attached to his bokken. No one was quite sure why he was doing this.
It was at which point a soft knock sounded on the door, which managed to be loud enough to pause all activity long enough for Kasumi to leave the room to answer it.
Upon her return she was followed by some man in a toga and a helm with wings on it. “Ranma, you have a guest.”
“Uh, I do?” He said looking the guy over. This wouldn’t be good.
“Oh hey there, I’m Hermes. The--”
“Hermes!” Cologne and Shampoo exclaimed, the latter jumping away from Ukyou.
“Yes, the Greek Messenger God.” He said with a smile. “Uhh... Your boob’s out.” He said pointing to Shampoo who quickly fixed her top. “Anyhow, I’m here because of that little wish Ranma made.”
“Uh well...”
“Oh, don’t worry.” Hermes said, waving him off. “Considering the whole thing with the teapot, the lightning rod and the cans of spam last week, this isn’t going to end up with a mailman being angry at you.”
“Uh, Hermes... sama?” Genma ventured, looking at the god as Soun chea-- did some rearranging on the Shogi board.
“Please, just Hermes.”
“Hermes, how did you--”
“Know all that?” Hermes said with a shrug. “Gods get bored, so we watch mortals in our off time. Ranma here makes for quite popular viewing.”
“I do?” Ranma asked, pointing to himself.
“He does?” Ryouga added.
“Oh, he’s the central character, but you all get screen time.” Hermes continued. “Anyway, the wish landed on Hera’s desk so she made the following decree.” He said, unrolling a scroll before reading from it. He didn’t need to, but it added to the effect. “By order of Hera, Goddess of Women and Marriage it is decreed that one Ranma Saotome of the Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial Arts and Diana, Princess of Themyscira are to, effective immediately, engaged to be wed.”
“Wait...” Ranma began slowly. “Isn’t that Diana chick...”
“Wonder Woman.”
“Oh...” Ranma let out before the full realization kicked in. “I’M WHAT!?”
“HE’S WHAT!?” Most everyone in the room cried out.
“Oh my!” Kasumi added.
“ARF! ARF!” Akane added as well.
“Yeah, that about sizes it up.” Hermes stated.
“RANMA MUST MARRY MY BABY GIRL!” Soun cried out as he stood up. “WHO DOES THIS HERA THINK SHE IS!?”
**Crack-a-THOOM!**
“...Urk...” A blacked and lightning struck Soun let off as he slumped over to the ground. Genma showed his concern my brushing the ash off the board and chea-- fixing the pieces.
“Yeah, I should mention that Zeus left a few lightning bolts in the office, and Hera knows how to use them.” Hermes stated.
“...Well, so much for getting Ranma into the tribe.” Cologne sighed. “Grab Mousse, and get to packing Shampoo.”
“Wait...” Nabiki drawled out as Shampoo hung her head. “You’re just quitting?”
“We of the Chinese Amazons descended from the Greek Amazons.” The old woman began. “We may not offer worship to Zeus or his fellow gods, but we’ve no wish to cross them. Greek gods are known to be rather... fickle. Ugh, no offence intended--”
**Crack-a-THOOM!**
“I’m not.” Hermes stated as Cologne fell off her staff, twitching and covered in soot. “Hera seems to be though.”
“Ugh...” Ranma began, sweating slightly. “I’m guessing she ain’t gonna take no for an answer.”
“Hera gets like that once in awhile.” Hermes said. “She isn’t that bad. She’s just a vengeful maniac.”
**Crack-a-THOOM!** **Crack-a-THOOM!** **Crack-a-THOOM!**
“...See what I mean...?” A crispy Hermes said as he fell to the ground.
“...You okay?” Ranma asked as Hermes got back to his feet.
“Yeah, I’m good.” He said, brushing himself off. “Shoulda known that was coming. Anyway, one last thing before I go.”
“Yeah.”
“Can I get your autograph?”
