The Almighty carefully considered the currently single goddesses and after several minutes decided on who the ‘lucky’ bride would be. Selene was a second class goddess with an unlimited license who during the Silver Millennium Era had incarnated herself on the Moon as Queen Serenity. It was only because of the amount of power she used and favors she had called in during the fall of the Silver Millennium that she was still a second class goddess instead of a first class. She was a very kind person who had the strength of will and commanding presence to make even a first class demon listen to her.
This unique mix of gentle manners and firm command was exactly why the Almighty had chosen Selene over say Peorth. Shingo’s psyche was enough to counteract most of Schneider’s mega lust for females to the point where a goddess and maybe one or two other girls would keep him content. However, Shingo’s psyche didn’t have any real effect on Schneider’s ego as their fusion spell MONSTER’S LOOSE had proven. Selene’s ability to command respect would allow her to temper Shingo/Schneider.
Quickly pressing his finger on the intercom button, the Almighty said, “Tell the goddess Selene of the Greco-Roman Pantheon that she is to report to conference room Omega 001 ASAP.” After releasing the intercom button the Almighty turned to Hid and said, “Do you want to stick around or head back to the underworld?” Lady Hid just calmly sat in her seat and waited for Selene to get to the room. This would be so much more entertaining to watch then dealing with paperwork. Her sole invention caused just as much agony for her as it did every other leader.
About ten minutes after the Almighty made his call Selene walked into the conference room. She physically looked like her incarnation from the Silver Millennium and she carried herself with the pose that her alter-ego Queen Serenity was known to have. However, this pose was completely false as she was mentally shaking her knees. This wasn’t all that surprising considering the fact that conference room Omega 001 was strictly forbidden to all deities in Asgard except for the Almighty.
Sensing Selene’s distress, the Almighty gave a loving smile and said, “Sit down Daughter.” Once Selene was seated he continued, “I know that you have been spending a good deal of your free time observing your daughter Usagi down on Midgard. Thanks to your observations I know that you are aware of who Usagi’s brother is.” Selene nodded her head and wondered where the Almighty was going with this. Then she found out when he said, “I have, with Lady Hid’s council, decided that the best way to deal with Shingo and his last incarnation is to link him to one of the divine pantheons. You, my dear daughter, are to be his new bride.”
