At this moment Jack REALLY wanted to maim that Tok’ra bitch Anise. Sure those armband things that she had given SG-1 had been cool and all, but shouldn’t Anise have mentioned that little fact that the armbands wore out. Daniel had been the first to lose the effects of the armbands and Jack and been forced to send Daniel back to the Stargate alone. He would have preferred for SG-1 to stay together, but space monkey wasn’t able to keep up with him and Carter at the time. Normally SG-1 would have head back to the Stargate, but they needed to blow this ship that Apohis was building now and wouldn’t have another shot at it.
Damn him and his armband manipulated mind! If it wasn’t for those things Jack knew that he wouldn’t have led his team to this place. Thanks to those armbands and their incredibly inconvenient times of failing Carter was now trapped behind a force field. To make matters worse his armband had failed so he couldn’t run through the field and carry her away and to add insult to injury he could hear several Jaffa approaching from behind Carter. If only he had some way to free Carter and get both of them.
Suddenly something inside of Jack seemed to click like a switch had been turned on. There was this strange purple light that suddenly appeared and temporarily blinded Jack’s sight. When Jack’s sight returned to him just a second latter he saw Carter gapping at him like a fish. Jack then watched as Sam shook her head and say, “Sir, what happened to you? Why are you wearing a tuxedo and a mask? Where did you get it?”
Jack’s response to her question was a simple, “Huh?” He then looked at himself and saw that he was wearing a tuxedo just like Carter had told him. The suit wasn’t some cheap knock-off suit and it looked like it cost more then his truck did. Over all Jack was not a happy camper; he had hated wearing that damn tux at his wedding and had promised himself that he would never wear another in his life. Besides, he wanted to get Carter out of here not to go out to a fancy nightclub. Suddenly a rose appeared out of thin air in the colonel’s hand and he let out a grown. Jack then carelessly tossed the rose away and said, “This isn’t helping.”
Whether by some sort of subconscious aiming, Jack’s own innate magic, or just pure dumb luck the rose that Jack hand tossed away impacted the force field that was between him and Sam. The magic within the rose immediately went to work and completely disrupted the force field bring it down. The two members of SG-1 looked at each other, down at the rose, and then back at each other. Jack shrugged his shoulders and said, “I guess it did help.”
