All the members of SG-1 and General Hammond were sitting in the SGC’s conference room. Jack, much to his and everyone else in the SGC’s relief, was once again in his BDUs. He had discovered that as long as he didn’t think about wearing the tuxedo it wouldn’t appear on him. At the moment Hammond was talking, “Now that the business with the Tok’ra armbands is taken care of lets move on to the next subject. Does anyone have a clue what has been happening to Colonel O’Neil?”
Sam started to explain to everyone that so far no one had a clue what was going on and the various tests that were being recommended to try and find out what was going. However, Jack wasn’t paying any attention to what she was saying. Every person with an active Sailor Crystal is deeply connected to the world that their crystal is connected to and can thus sense what is happening on their world. Normally the person with the Sailor Crystal doesn’t pay any attention to this back noise their crystal generates, but threats to the world will gain their notice. Even though those rare Sailor Crystals that belonged men expressed their power differently then the majority that were held by women, this ability to sense what goes on for the represented world was the same.
Jack might have only activated his Golden Crystal a few hours ago, but he was able to sense the wrongness that was occurring a few miles away. He didn’t know exactly what it was that he was sensing when he sensed the wrongness; all that he knew was that it was something that needed to be destroyed. Finally the feeling became too much for Jack and he interrupted Carter, “Sorry, but I need to take care of something.” Before anyone could ask what Jack had meant by that, he left the conference room by teleporting out of his chair.
A few seconds latter, Jack reappeared standing on the W of the local Wal-Mart store sign. Down below him were several dozen people screaming in fright as a blue vaguely female looking monster attacked. To Jack’s pleasure he heard the sounds of half a dozen shotguns and rifles going off showing that some people weren’t about to go down without a fight. Unfortunately for local NRA members, the guns they had borrowed from Wal-Mart didn’t have enough stopping power to get through the youma’s magical skin armor.
After watching for a few seconds Jack casually jumped down and landed on the sidewalk below. In a lazily sarcastic manner the reborn prince said, “I’ve got a problem with your whole monster-of-the-week thing. You see I like this store, it offers great discounts on my fishing gear, so I’m just going to have to evict you.” The youma wasn’t all that impressed with Jack’s speech and launch a bolt of yellow lighting at the masked hero. Due to his black ops training and his awaken psychometric powers Jack knew about the attack and rolled away to safety.
Now that he was in this situation, Jack wished he had brought a P-90 or a Zat gun with him. The rose ability that he had used earlier, even though he wasn’t entirely sure how he knew this, wouldn’t be able to finish off this monster. As he dogged yet another lighting attack, the information on his finishing attack appeared in the newbie magical superhero’s mind. Jack then groaned and said, “I sure hope no one at the base hears about this, Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber!” A bolt of magical energy then rocketed out of Jack’s hand and hit the youma squarely in the chest destroying the creature.
