Not wanting to draw any more attention to himself by remaining in the area, Jack quickly left the vicinity of the battle and transformed out of the infernal tux away from prying eyes. Once Jack was sure that he wouldn’t be caught he proceeded to walk back to the base since it was only about 2 miles away. After all, he didn’t have his truck and there was no way he’d transform again and try to do that teleport thing he had done earlier. Why couldn’t someone just explain what was going on? Suddenly a feminine voice called out, “Impressive job Endymion.”
This put Jack on the defensive and he called out, “Who’s this Endymion guy? I’m Col. Jack O’Neil of the US Air Force. And while you’re telling who Endymion is, why don’t you tell me who you are?” The Col.’s tone was rather confrontational because the stranger’s words seemed to stir something within him. If this was another damn alien plot Jack knew he’d be very annoyed.
To Jack’s surprise he saw a tanned woman with long green hair wearing some sort of sailor fuku appear from behind a tree trunk. The strange woman bowed her head and said, “Hello Endymion, or as you go by in this lifetime, Jack O’Neil. I am Sailor Pluto.” At this point Jack was ready to just write off the strange woman as some sort of nut. Setsuna, knowing what the reincarnated prince’s response was most likely to be, just smiled and said, “Oh I assure Jack that I am not a local nut and shouldn’t you be more careful about assuming that after that Hathor incident 3 years ago?”
Mentally Jack went to DEFCOM 2 after he heard Sailor Pluto mention Hathor. While it was still possible that ‘Sailor Pluto’ could be a nut, Jack was starting to lean towards the possibility of this person being another Goa’uld. In an attempt to deflect Pluto from any mentioning of the SGC Jack said, “Hathor? Who’s that?”
Setsuna sighed and said, “Don’t take me for a fool Col. O’Neil. I am referring of course to the Goa’uld queen that referred to herself as Hathor and almost took of the SGC three years using a biological compound that made the men of the SGC susceptible to her suggestions. You were almost turned into a Jaffa by Hathor and were only spared that fate by being put into the Sarcophagus that Hathor had been sealed in by your second in Command Maj. Carter who at that time was a captain.”
Deciding that there nothing productive was going to happen right now, Setsuna tossed a communicator so it gently landed at Jack’s feet. She then said, “When you’re willing to try and understand what is going on use that to reach me. Until you are willing to truly listen, I have nothing more to say to you. Goodbye for now Jack O’Neil. We will meet again.” Setsuna then used her powers to transport away.
