Selene fluffed out her pillow and then set it down on the couch. Usagi had offered to let Selene stay in her room so that the two could have a slumber party. While the goddess had been pleased to see that Usagi had accepted her as a friend so quickly, she had nevertheless politely declined. A part of Selene still ached for her daughter Serenity whenever she looked at Usagi and right now having a sleep over would be too much for the lunar goddess.
However, Selene had offered to train Usagi in White Magic in addition to the Death Magic she was learning from Shingo. It was Selene’s hope that Usagi’s and her lessons would help the two of them to grow closer. Of course Selene was going to insist that her reincarnated daughter continue learning from Shingo. Hopefully Usagi would grow to be like a finely crafted steel blade having the best of all types of magic at her disposal. With that thought on her mind the goddess turned off the light and lay on the couch.
Before Selene could fully go to dreamland Luna crept down and started poking her. The lunar advisor wanted some answers about why Selene was here and wanted to those answers now. It didn’t make any sense to Luna why the patron goddess of the Silver Millennium was apparently engaged to that, that, that demon Schneider. Why hadn’t the goddess slain Schneider, set Usagi on the proper course, and reveal where the moon princess was located?
After a few minutes Selene had enough of Luna’s poking and grabbed the advisor by the throat. Selene brought Luna next to her face and said, “Listen Luna and listen well. I’ve been observing your quest for the Moon Princess and I must say that you are obviously incapable of handling such a task. You will stop being so high-strung about the Scouts in general and Sailor Moon especially. If you continue to give Usagi grief over what my fiancé is teaching her then the moon princess will have a brand new violin when I reveal who she is. Do you understand me?”
While Luna was shocked at Selene’s behavior her self preservation instincts didn’t falter and she quickly became a feline bobble head doll. Once Selene was sure that Luna understood what she was saying the goddess chucked the lunar advisor into the stairs. After hearing a satisfying thwack Selene adjusted her blanket and curled up to go to sleep. She really was upset with how Luna had been acting about her quest. However, Selene’s had been even more angry at the moment because Luna had interrupted her sleep. No one disturbed her sleep without asking for trouble.
