Genma would normally vanish while his son dealt with the challenge. Instead he was demonstrating one of the special manuevers that he'd learned during his training journey in this world, mainly because he was wet and cold and tired and getting a bit cranky.
He jumped, each arc looking as if he were on the moon or similar low-gravity area. Each time he came down, the impact seemed to go through the ground with sufficient force that those nearby stumbled or fell.
"Like A Ten Ton Hammer" or "Wrecking Ball" was a manuever that cratered the roads he was landing on, but which was definitely smashing flat those unfortunate enough to be his target.
Tira, for all her psychotic glory, had been engaged in a fight with someone else and was now currently lying in a small crater dazed beyond what she would have thought possible. Others thought to block the descending Genma with weapons only to find that when he curled up and shimmered during his descent, weapons tended to slide off of him. Then came the pain of impact.
Ranma wasn't worried about his father. He simply sent bodies flying as he went.
There were some who appeared to be really tough fighters though. Which is why he wasn't holding back a whole lot as he fought a likewise serious:
