Lily Potter sat at the vanity in her bedroom and looked at herself in the mirror. The door was locked so that James wouldn't come in, even though Lily knew that her husband was busy with little Harry. Lily loved James, but there were some things about her that he just couldn't know about. In a harden manner, Lily activated her Sharingan and just stared at it.
Those eyes were both a curse and a blessing to Lily. They had served as the divide between her and her half-sister. Lily knew that Petunia thought the Sharingan was a sign that Lily had been fathered by a demon. Of course, Petunia had never said that out loud as she didn't want to smear their mother's memory. Nevertheless, it was the Sharingan and the bitter truth about their mother that the Sharingan signaled that had torn the Evans sisters apart.
Still, Lily did have some benefits. The scrolls Itachi had left her were amazing. More than one Death Eater had 'mysteriously' died as a result of a Chidori or a Ryuuka no Jutsu. Chakra was a edge over the Purebloods that Lily smugly kept close to her chest. It was actually quite amusing to see the Aurors frantically trying to figure out what 'Dark Magic' had killed an 'upstanding' member of the community.
After looking at the Sharingan for a bit, Lily activated her Mangekyou Sharingan. The tomoe stretched out and connected to each other with the outer side of the tomoe gaining saw-like edges. Unlike her father, Lily was proud of her Mangekyou because of all the effort she had put into training for it. She then reached into a hidden compartment of her vanity and pulled out a small potion vial.
Despite Lily's best efforts, she hadn't been able to create a spell to stop the destruction of her sight caused by the use of the Mangekyuo Sharingan. However, she had been able to create a potion that would heal the damage to her eyes for several months. In a well practiced manner Lily leaned back and carefully medicated her eyes with the potion.
